You can sell your iPhone X at 68% of its value just a week before the new one arrives

06 September 2018
It turns out, iPhones depreciate the least a year after they are released. The iPhone X is a record-breaker right now.

Lenovo CEO :v, 06 Sep 2018Only 68% of value? lol I thought that the Apple fanboys wer... morestop lying man, no one can brag about selling his iPhone at the exact same value a year later

So you lose $320 in 11 months after getting it with a $300 mark-up? The idiots who buy these overpriced products every single year. iJustine, I'm looking at you.

But if you bought a Note 8 for 1009euros back in August 2017 ?

Well you can only sell it for about 450 euros, because the Note 8 is now available Brand new for 650 bucks, while the iPhone X barely made it below the 1000 mark.

So whether you like it or not, an iPhone is a better investment than probably any Android phone. (Financially)

I remember paying 350 for my then brand new Nexus 5 and selling it a year later for 220. It only lost 38% of its value.
Also, I would rather wait 2 or 3 months after release to get the new phone so I can save 100-200 USD compared to MSRP; this way I have always saved more money rather than selling my current phone earlier for a few dollars more, but paying full MSRP for the new one.

Spend 300-400 eur for a decent phone that does everything you want except that one thing that would be very nice to have (128gb but no sd card support, usbc 3.0 and bt 5.0 but no fm radio, has everything but midrange/low highend soc, or everything looks awesome but has next to no warranty(from china)) or lose 300eur of the phones initial value. Hmm, iphones are starting to look like dumb decisions.
