Bad timing, it seems they're willing to stick with old 10 series hardware for a whole generation just as they stuck with old GTX980 in their overpriced Surface Studio for a whole generation.

I love Windowa 10, but I've never been confident enough with CShell and the Metro apps. They never sold me on them and I rather have something like Win64 or some stuff, but Metro apps are a long way from perfect. Specailly in stability.

Windows 10 is, shall we say, is just on the border between meh and okay for me.
The Surface products however, particularly their Surface Pro and Laptops, are steaming piles of $hit with terrible, or rather in the case of the Surface laptop, zero repairability. If you want a decent laptop, just get a Dell or an Asus. Avoid the Surface laptop at all costs.

The problem is known, you can check it on MS forums.
The languages reported differ, my system installs two Syriac keyboards automatically after each boot (I'm in Syria but locations is supposedly turned off), one of them can't be removed unless it's deleted from keyboard layout> preload registry entry and logging off after.
The posts here aren't for troubleshooting though, and it will supposedly be fixed next major update, hopefully :(

Why you have to use regedit for that is strange... Adding and deleting these kind of things is easier than ever.

I live in India, and Dell has been known to be the best service provider as far as PC is concerned. Nowadays they are disappointing us quite a lot. Honestly, I'm afraid to buy a Surface as MS is not quite strong here.

Almost every single mac owner I know has a dual boot windows installation on their computer because,
If It Ain't Windows It Ain't Windows.
They still insist it's a better experience, paying 50% more and get less. "I don't have to download Putty!". Give me a break, will you? :D

Many Windows software and games don't exist on Mac ...

i am already using Surface pro 4 and made a wrong decision of purchase the same their hardware and software has lot of issue. Screen Flicker, keyboard skin quality etc and no service support. they replace laptop but with refurbished one. Felt customer is at their mercy.

I am using surface pro and really made a wrong decision of purchasing it, Their Surface series has lot of issues with Hardware and software.
Please go for some other brand.

I'm using latest version of Windows 10. It is better than Windows 7. Less lag and more useful features. Faster performance. Many issues gone. I think laptop will be better than surface.

And, it's a lie that OS X can run the other OSs. With Bootcamp, you can run Windows, but then you cannot run OS X at the same time, and when you boot to Windows, you are actually using "Windows". In addition, some Windows applications do not work properly when you bootcamp. With parallels, you can run OS X and Windows side by side, but then your system becomes slow. And, if you talk about running a virtual machine, even a non-Mac computer can do it.
OS X is great, just not good enough so that I'm sold.

cause with MacOS you can run Windows / Linux / Android.
And when you need to download a application just to connect to Linux, aka putty when using Windows.. you know its the worse.

Well, you can buy a similar 2-in-1 from other OEMs, but I find they come with bloatware and some design issues.
I'm looking forward to the 10" Surface Go as it seems to be offering value for the money at $300. If it can handle 1080p HEVC 10 bit videos, I'm in (waiting for a confirmation from MS).
