Nokia Technologies is part of NOKIA OY,which was never sold off to any company in its existence. The Nokia Mobiles division was sold ,along with the rights to brand name to Microsoft. This was bought back by Nokia Technologies. HMD Global OY , a Finninsh company mainly comprising of old Nokia and Microsoft Mobiles employees is a stand alone company. It is not under NOKIA and neither is NOKIA under HMD Global. HMD has the rights to use technologies and brand name 'NOKIA' on its phones. The designing of theses phones are by HMD borrowing technologies from Nokia Technologies (such as OZO audio). Foxconn is a separate company who only manufactures mobiles and not design them. They are famous for producing the IPhones and the old Nokia mobiles. They are a mostly Taiwanese company.

        FoxConn was made by Nokia and bought by a group of Chinese businessmen
        HMD is composed of engineers, programmers and staff of Old Nokia and some from Microsoft, HMD asked FoxConn to produce some of their New Nokia phones, just like Apple, Sony, Xiaomi, HP, and other Android phones in the wild, even Playstation, Cisco routers and other techs

        now about where HMD took the money to get Nokia from Microsoft, well check HMD's CEO and most of their admin, you'll know where the money came from, if you want proof, check it in WikiLeaks, i will assure you you aint gonna find any Chinese tagged with HMD's money in getting Nokia

            Look, in every country investments happen. For Finland, Nokia was a huge company for them just like Apple, Microsoft and Google are for the USA. With their connections all those companies can make investments with their governments and banks are usually involved in big money investments.
            So I don't see a Chinese help here so why we assume it's Chinese?
            When Blackberry was starting to work with TCL, they have announced it in the media.
            But HMD Global never said anything, so why would be assume that they're working for the Chinese??

                                      Dude HMD Global is a company that bought the Nokia name to brand their phones and the people who used to work for Nokia made the HMD Global and this information is famous.

                                      BTW, I'm a Sony fan so I will tell you this, the old nokia and the new nokia are one and accept it because we will see them running the market after a few years :)
                                      PS. the Lumia phones are Microsoft's so that's not Nokia and I never felt the Microsoft phones were real Nokia until now when HMD Global being made and the company bought the Nokia name. Now Nokia is in the right direction

                                        All the best though from real Nokia fan. (N82, N9 and 808 Are real Nokia phones i have right now. Plus Lumia 950Xl, which is more Nokia than HDM phones.)
