- first GSM system made for Vodafone UK 1988
- first ever oparational GSM phone 1991
- worlds first 3G network and call 1999/2000
- worlds first 4G call and network 2009
- introduction of WCDMA and HSDPA
- invented Bluetooth
- holding 25% of the essential 4G patents whitch is more than triple as much as any other manifacturer, and that is normal as it was Ericsson with NTT DoCoMo that initiated LTE in 2004.
- leadership over LTE-Advanced (they already have contract to build network in China for about 2 - 3 years)
- Introduction of 84Mbps HSPA technology
- 40% of entire world mobile traffic passes through Ericsson networks, which conect over 2 000 000 000 people all over the world.
I think this is more than enough for everyone to know that Ericsson was, still is, and will be world leader in mobile technology.

A very Good decision by Sony company I am dying to see sony get themslves away from ericson which is a european company & i would rather say tht the decision should have been taken palce a long time ago because Sony is a unique company in itself & it cant be mereged with other company

The best thing that could happened to sony, at least on the maketing level, i would really consider having sony devices then SE, plus ericsson when becoming SE, had very bad phone technology

I agree with sony decision and i happy. because my Aspen handset eight time in service center submit between time 2 time motherbord chenge, 1 time ex-change mobile (shem model) now pending in service center (mumbai). not solves my problem.

Ericsson was the mobile phone company not Sony. it was a multimedia Company which just gave features to Ericsson phone Models, they emerged and and now Sony is destroying Ericsson? this wont go far for Sony (Alone).

its a sooony.. late OS update.. incomplete specs. scrappy built. you cant keep any longer SE phone, built quality is not good. i remember the SE s500i, the keypad built quality.
Sony is a asian handset.
Ericsson is a western handset.
Apple is a american handset
Motorola is a american handset.
Blackberry is a canadian handset
asian product, asian quality.. think!....
