You can walk for free to wherever you want rather than spending money on transportation. Why don't you do that?

In Poland on apple webpage it says that watch has a heart rate sensor that uses
electrical impulses.

700 euros for 18 hours batterly life when barelly used. Apple way.
Digital Casio clocks for 5-10 euros can last several months.

@Ivan - If I'm not mistaken it received FDA clearance which is not FDA approval, much more difficult to get. Am I correct? You may want to correct your article. It's probably not accurate and reliable enough to get an approval from the FDA. If they want to add a blood sugar detector later down the road for example, that will probably request an approval because then you really 'play' with diabetics life...

Actually, Apple said during their event that is us only and that they are “working hard to bring them to customers around the world”.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2018Sorry but I dont think it would have been aproved by the FD... moreIn order to get proper ECG, you need to have 12 leads to be able to see the full picture -which is something I doubt with the Apple watch- So my guess is that you can get a very basic reading at best.

Vegetaholic, 13 Sep 2018Completely useless feature. All these sick people will thin... moreSorry but I dont think it would have been aproved by the FDA if it was just a gimmick.
+ how do you know that such a small device couldnt possibly make a proper ECG ?

The ECG was the only feature that would make this watch interesting to me. If not for this, I could choose a round smartwatch and not look like a dork.

Honestly, this was the only true standout announcement from yesterday's Apple Event. For $400, I'd get it but I also feel the touchscreen just isn't there yet for the screen size. It seems resistive. Or maybe the Watch OS needs more polish?
Every time I try to play with an Apple Watch at any store, it is so difficult to swipe almost like you need to rub the screen hard to do anything. It feels like going back to the old Windows Mobile with the stylus or early Android pre-Ice Cream Sandwich era. G1 era.
Having ECG on it is amazing though. I think every senior citizen living in a convalescent home or by themselves should own one.

Vegetaholic, 13 Sep 2018Completely useless feature. All these sick people will thin... moreFor most, I would agree, it's not very useful. However for me, the ECG is a useful feature for me, as I have 'episodes' once in a while where my heart rate reaches over 220 bpm where I would like to capture that data to provide to my doctor.
I have not in over 40 years had a device with me that would capture the data when an 'episode' is occurring.

Vegetaholic, 13 Sep 2018Completely useless feature. All these sick people will thin... moreMaybe, or maybe not. I think nobody knows yet. If it's as good as the heart rate monitor, it's going to be useful. No data yet

Completely useless feature. All these sick people will think they will get device who can do ECG? Come on such a small thing can't do proper ECG, you don't need ECG, if you really need one, doctors will do it for you, just another useless feature to suck money from you for exorbitant price.

This is standard Apple shtick. Every year, they announce a few innovations and later say that half of these won't be available right now and will only be released in the "near future".
Remember the AirPower mat from last year?

Apple watch was really impressive! Too bad I need an iPhone for it ! and as usual very very expensive for me to consider. I need to basically sign up for $2500 sort of eco-system....completely unaffordable!

This is not really accurate, i watched the event live and they did mention the FDA approval and how new functions would come to the USA, already then i realised ECG was for USA only, it was clearly implied. The rules are very clear in most of the world, this is clearly a medical device and need approval for being such, which can take a while.
