Anonymous, 13 Sep 2018With the return of A7 i guess A8 & A6 proven to be a failure.Samsung claims A6 series has done well, and I am seeing the units sell locally too.

though no one will ever buy outdated chip high price mobile but ( let me concentrate) i really appreciate samsung's guts. They solely made, solely use and solely throw out in 3 months.

Wish that this phone will have IP Certification (IP68) like the last A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) model. But I guess not......................NAH

A bad idea to release a phone with the name "(2018)", nearly three quarters into 2018.

Highly doubt there would actually be anything cutting edge about it. It will probably have Exynos 7885 or SD660 but nothing new, 6" diagonal and dual cam. In general, not going to be any better than the current crop of midrange phones, such as Nova 3i, Oppo F9, Vivo V11, Zenfone 5, Honor Play or Nokia 7 Plus but still will cost more for at least $450 because it's Samsung. Will cost a little less than the A8 because it won't have any proper ingress protection. Basically, a slightly smaller Galaxy A8 Star with a lower, but still steep, price tag. I would like to be proven wrong but I'm not holding my breath. Interested in the upcoming Non-Edge Galaxy S10 next year though.

Can't wait to see their "new style" and strategy though.
                    DJ Koh even said that.

                        Let me guess...

Powered with Exynos 7885, 4GB RAM, 64GB Storage, A8/+ looks, IP68, side speaker, headphone jack, and hefty price?

Yeah, not that rare these days. I know Samsung's track record on making another successor on most midrange phones.
