So, Xs is $250 more just for dual cam and oled.

The 720+ display on the Lumia 920 was great for its time, but if you look at that display today, you will no longer find it impressive. The reason is simple, it's because you've been used to using better displays, and wouldn't want to settle with inferior one.
If the iPhone XR costed $500, then that 720p LCD display would've been justified. At $750... It's not cool.

Put the spec sheet and expectation next to Lumia 920 for display matter, 326 ppi is clear enough to show everything without stretching or blur effect on sides as Lumia 920 was superior to iPhone 5 in its era, display wise.
Refresh rate is the true reason to have it.
In fact iPhone XR is iPhone X (Racing). Gaming phone from apple! the problem is display's refresh rate. If they put 120 Hz display and this A12 under the hood, then we could see a "Drag phone".
Anyway, a iPhone X with 256GB and 899 USD price tag will absolutely be very welcomed by those who can afford and of course are unaware of OS bandwagon.

The XR would've been a great phone had it come with a 1080p (or equivalent) screen. LCD is fine, but that 2012 pixel density is not...
