On the other hand, it's clear by examining some of the samples in that review that their analyses in text do not match up to conclusions that can be drawn from samples. They also have a spotty record by rating the Nokia 808 shockingly low while it clearly beats the iP6 and GS6 it was compared with in DxO's own daylight samples provided. On top of that, the review was completed by a certain Lars Rehm which then goes on to give abnormally high scores to the LG G7 which utilizes an ugly smearing rendition style much like the P20P, which strongly suggests poor personal taste clouding his judgement.

                      SHAZAMM, 18 Sep 2018um...excuse...do you know the specs of this device compared... moreKirin 980 is questionable compared to SD845, it's one node higher but whether or not there's a CPU advantage is unknown, the GPU is at a disadvantage.
                      Note 9 has a better screen, and the unique stylus.
                      What they make of the camera is still unknown but P20P's processing was horrible.
                      What's basically sure to be Mate 20's advantage is probably the charge speed.

                        Sure the Mate 10 got night mode and a long overdue face unlock which was promised and bragged about since their conference. But what about all the other features promised.
                        Why are they discriminating users outside of their own country. Android 8.1 with all the promised updates has been out in China for ages now. Now it looks like they are skipping 8.1 and moving to 9.0. Laziness and lack of commitment from Huawei to users outside of China.

                              The same things can be said for Samsung as well.

                              Those two aren't even true, Huawei did deliver the handheld night mode on Mate 10 and Pro, and after sales support from Huawei is actually pretty good, at least in my county.

                                Still lacking updates on the Mate series line. Yes they are releasing software updates more quickly for minor fixes and security updates, but after all they hyped at the last Mate conference like Camera AI updates they still have yet to deliver.
                                Releasing cheaper models with updated Android 8.1 versions and leaving your flaghip on older versions is unbelievable.

                                  My bet, in the future there will be just two big ecosystem (Android and Apple) that looks and run almost identical to each other, but locked out of each other with both of them have the interoperability to other well established enterprise OS (Microsoft).

                                  So don't fret, cyber dystopia is nigh. ;)
