How is glossy color a trend setting? Triple camera, what for? Huge batteries for what?
Proper sized battery is a relative term. I use my phone with 3000 mAh battery for 24 hours, with 20% still remaining.that is with data function continuosly switched on. I know people who find 5000 mAh (including power bank and internal battery together) still cannot last till evening. It's all about sensible usage of a gadget and not just numbers.
Apple does what is required for the gadget. It is designing a phone for communication primarily and not a camera ( to have 3,4,5... Cameras) nor a mini power generator / power banks that it needs to power other devices.

Triple camera, a proper sized battery, more radical colour choices. I'm hoping that others also allow their phones to charge other phones and devices. The battery size thing is a biggie though, and other manufacturers are now forced to improve. Fingers crossed that someone at LG gets the memo!

One thing I love about Huawei, is that they allow you to use your device to charge other devices. The Mate 10 and P20 both allowed you to use it as a power brick and share some juice. The feature should be on every device! And now this, wow! Great work.

At certain situation, it merge both rgb & monochrome sensor to create 1 image. As a result, the image got great contrast, better dynamic range, and catches more lights (monochrome catch 3x more light than rgb). Up till now, the best low light photography still crowns the P20 (pro) & XZ2 premium because of that technology. Do you know that Honor 8 pro takes on par picture quality both daylight & low lights as iphone 7 plus? And Honor 8 pro price at $400 whereas iphone 7 plus $900 at that time. Sure iphone got better performance but for seconds more speed, does it worth it? Its all bow down to user preference (ios or android).
Copy 100% from apple? This i dont agree, experience it yourself 1st then u know what i'm talking about. Many aspects is better on the huawei side.
I'm a fan of many branded phone, but huawei is never a bad phone.

I can see they're aiming for a high STB ratio. That thing has truly edge to edge display, probably with a small chin. I think it will look great. Waiting for official photos.
The wireless earbuds though... Should've had an original design. Oh well, maybe next generation. The ability to charge them through the phone is awesome though!

LG G5 had wide angle (people still praise it) and P9 had monochrome which was kind of useless. iPhone 7 plus came with telephoto lens which is the most popular setup right now. So no P9 did not set any trend, rather it was G5 & iPhone 7 plus.
Adjustable bokeh effects - I agree with it.
Under display fps reader - This is similar to bluetooth feature, whole industry goes along with it. It wasn't Vivo's innovation either, more precisely Qualcomm was the one pushing it.
It is not a big deal if a brand takes inspiration from competition and make their own version of things, but it's not acceptable if you just copy the whole product.

Since every Asian, mostly Chinese, company copy everything Apple does, just as Steve Jobs said that Apple copy/steal everything good they can find, please can Lenovo or... make a laptop with an identical copy of Apple´s MacBook Air keybord, since Apple themselves are moving away from that perfectly designed keyboard!

Dont forget they are many things as well Iphone copy others, such as:
* Dual camera - we cant deny that Huawei P9 start the trendsetter, & obviously & i wouldnt be surprised later on Iphone will implement triple camera.
* Adjustable bokeh effects - Huawei got this way back on their P9 & Iphone just implement it recently & making a bust about it.
* Under display fps reader - i know next iphone will implement that technology sooner or later after Vivo is the first started it.
I dont mind people bought iphone as well, as some stuck to it because of IOS experience & just to up to the trend. If u got the money, just buy it, no offense.
But is the Huawei/Honor & other china brand provides the best price per performance? Yes, spot on.
