Well it started with Nokia 3, 5,6, 8, then 7 and 7 plus came out and then Number dot 1
Because 3.1., 5.1., 7.1 and so on are already out it could be Nokia 8.1.

By the time anything from them hit European market these models have been out for half a year already and nobody is interesting to buy new technology that is old on a day of release.
There is nothing interesting about Nokia phones. While i have been a fan of Nokia for decades.
With symbian the Nokia was different then others and even with windows it felt different then android/ios. But now as it's android there is nothing different for them. I am not willing to pay more just cause it's Nokia like i did before cause it was different. Especially as the market is full of different brands with all have something interesting on them with lower price. Boring design with ugly notch and no sense making large chin.
Just replace the notch with that chin on top of the screen and there you have something new and different. Even Meizu 16 is nicer with low bezels on top and bottom.
Nokia dont even have compact phones in there lineup. Smallers screens with high amount of bezel is not a compact. Maximum of 5 inch screen with like 5mm bezel on top and bottom would be nice. As there is nothing in the market like that except Sony Compacts but they mostly are to expensive with flagship hardware and price.

same happened with nokia 8 sirocco...should ve been launched in 2017 but the ceo had a vision or dream or whatever and postponed it to mwc 2018. it came sith spandragon 835 and a similar price to the new galaxy s9...guess how the sales went
nobody is even speaking about nokia 8 sirocco...
nokia 9 would have a chance IF the phone had snapdragon 855. which i hardly doubt, since the phone might be finalized mostly already

All the phone announcements that HMD has made are designs we have seen and that do not bring anything new to the Android market ... just the Zeiss lenses.
The rest is more of the same as do not already have other brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo or OnePlus and even at a better price.
If Nokia would created new phones with designs like the failed McLaren project and implemented PureView technology they could be a very good alternative in the Android market ... but nowadays they are totally vulgar and boring phones.
That's the reality.
