Duel, 24 Sep 2018but can your DSLR make calls? or check email or surf web? It does take pics which are at least 1000 times better than your iPhone. And for the things you mentioned, any smartphone in the world is enough. Why one should shell out 1000$ plus for the tasks you mentioned? Until unless one doesnt care about money and has tons at home to throw away.

You have to be MAD to pay 1650 Euros for a phone that does... NOTHING ELSE than iPhone 6 and looks the same. And 6 months later they come up with an other SCAM phone so after you pay a fortune you have an old model.

Even then when compared feature to feature, Note9 beats iPhone hands down. You will get more bang for same 1000. In my country for example, cheapest iPhone XR costs 10k more! Which even doesn't have 1080p LCD display! And base version(64gb) of XS costs 32k more than it, XS Max 42k more. I can buy a note9 and OnePlus 6/6T for the price of a single XS. That's two flagships of respective brands. And if you take 512gb version of XS Max, then you can buy two Note9's or four OnePlus 6/6T's and a fitbit for the same price. Now do you really consider Note9 is costly when compared with 2018 iPhones?

You could buy a car at the absolute bottom of its curve and it will only make money in the future. Spend £1000 on a phone and its worth £50 in 10 years, spend a grand on something quirky and fun and it will only go up in value in the end.
And why bother arguing about using taxis and the like, its still adding pollution and its not exactly like making a phone is emission neutral!! Thats the problem with people today, they HAVE to have the latest and greatest and stuff sits in landfill where it could have been used for many years afterwards.

In this age most of cost are not for hw, though some brands squeeze money for memory or just being unique. There are people that can afford that and its true that quality and services are mostly worth money, even more if you also count the selling price of an year old phone. New trends and cool tech comes however from earning money so be it for selling hw or services or brand high, and investing in ideas, r&d. Apple should be the best in that area.

Despite such a closed OS, it's MUCH easier to Develop apps for Apple than for android.
But all in all I'll go full power Android if I could ;D

I am obsessed with apple because my husband gave me an iPod touch, and I really liked it, but it broke, not to mention their OS is horrible, and I want apple to think open source.

I don't get it. People go nuts about Apple prices, yet are okay with Samsung's ridiculous and as expensive prices. Stupid fanboys.

But, but, but, because of £1449 (iPhone XS Max) ,I bought a BRAND NEW YAMAHA SNIPER 150, the 2018 Edition. If you know what I mean.
I can go to any place where I want by riding on it (of course).
Can you ride your iPhone XS Max and go to the place that you want?. of course not.

Make all the arguments you want the Mini Cooper even as old as it is will probably last longer than the iPhone. It is kind of funny that the 256GB iPhone is now competitive with the 256GB MacBook. I think people should absolutely start to think about what that money means, you are getting so much less with that silly phone. That is why I like this article.

Not this stuff again! No need to go over the top. That's like saying if you want to produce music you need very expensive studio, even when you can make great quality music in your home studio. Just like you can take great pics with today's best cams.
Carrying extra camera isn't fun, best cam is what you have when you see something interesting, your DSLR at home doesn't help you much to capture that moment.

Apple still even in end of 2018 cant use support quickcharge, dash charge, SVOOC, Apple still dont support dual separate sim sots, apple still dont support memory card and there is a lot more which they dont but any other company do.
