Happy Birthday Google/ Alphabet & remember your motto's like "Don't be evil", "You can make money without doing evil" & "Do the right thing", avoid massive fines & don't be greedy (*cough Apple).
With corporate power comes social responsibility, keep your customers safe, support them & they'll support you, you've got a chance to show this with Project Treble.
Help make the World a better place ;)

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2018Its funny you used the word unrealistic in the unrealistic ... moreYou either accidentally or intentionally misunderstood that point.
It was about normalising the price (finding the median) so that it applies to most people in as much circumstances as possible.
And the prices I listed are not from Europe, they are from Germany (important distinction).
I should add they are REAL prices that people were actually Buying & Selling for their respective handset models at those respective dates. You can confirm it easily by Googling it.
I don't understand what you are arguing, the prices for selling are not inflated. If you buy a >900 Euro phone in launch time, one year later its used value is definitely going to be between EUR400 - 600 Euros, and the next year its used value is going to be lower in between EUR200 - 400 Euros. Its practically halving its value on a yearly level.
I contest you to provide figures for the scenario (Nexus 4 -> S8+) that I've drawn up.

When apple decided to remove the headphone jack. The bluetooth technology is now far more developed at 4.0. After that, they made their own bluetooth airpods. Which are now being copied by other brands as well. So if you think apple has sheeps which purchases their products. Other sheep follows with different design.

I have installed a free non-nagging antivirus, I don't visit fishy sites, and I install reputed apps only. A security patch helps, but cannot supercede your common sense.

You see, HTC removes 3,5 mm jack and their phones don't sell that well because Android people have other options. But not with Apple, sheeps will always buy Apple phones even if they remove everything from the phone. That is why Apple lovers are called sheeps, cuz they really are ones. It's all about the brand, brand they created with their own stupidity.

Native support is a great thing and make life easier for manufacturer. If hardware changed Google will also need to change a lot of things in android.

As for the design part, I've always been a fan of the Nexus 6 and 5X design. I personally like the X design, but I hope they make another SE. I have always wondered if instead of chasing OS versions, OEMs/Google rather focussed on monthly security patches. That has no excuse of having to modify skins and features. I'd be happy with an Android 5 or 6. But does your Marshmallow have the latest security patch?
