AnonD-784123, 27 Sep 2018Wait, So they remove the headphone jack to add a 3700 mah b... moreThey didn't really remove the jack so that they can put a bigger battery...They put a bigger battery to justify the removal of 3.5mm jack.

Not to mention one has nothing to do with the other in tewrms of features. It can have a 6000mah battery and i still won't buy it due to the lack of 3.5mm. Also, it could have a 6000mah battery and still have a 3.5mm jack.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2018And if you optimise a 3700mah batteryy it will even better.... moreThe problem isn't that it's not bigger, the problem is it ain't big enough to justify the the loss of a headphone jack

AnonD-784123, 27 Sep 2018Wait, So they remove the headphone jack to add a 3700 mah b... moreNo comparison. If you need features that Note 9 offers, it's probably the only device you get. However, OnePlus should offer either a better battery or a battery case. 3700 mAh is too little to be practical nowadays, and I'm not liking the idea of a powerbank anymore.

Wait, So they remove the headphone jack to add a 3700 mah battery... But the note 9 has a 4000 mah battery and kept the headphone jack??

        Something's not adding up!

3700 mAh battery is a good number.

Unfortunately, not having a 3.5 mm jack (in addition to the SD card slot) is a huge deal-breaker.

OnePlus really has no excuse. Not when the Galaxy Note9 has a 3.5 mm jack, a SD card slot, a huge 4000 mAh and still has enough spare space to contain a whole S-Pen. Oh, and don't forget it also has IP68 ingress protection.

What i'm interested about how well next Huawei Mate 20 with their new 4200mah battery capacity performs combine with their new Kirin 980 7nm CPU. It should more efficient than before.

This and what Samsung and Huawei are doing should give the others (Sony, HTC, LG, Google, Apple) the kick up the backside that they need. I would be happy with a slightly thicker phone, if it was a result of a decent sized battery.

The endurance rating might go back to 83hrs, and 3700mah is just a number doesn't mean it'll have larger battery life.

Oneplus plus battery management was great before even when using small battery capacity.

                                This definitely will be better.

So no "Super DashCharge", no headphone jack and most likely the same cameras on the OP6. That is disappointing.
So the new "features" will only be the new screen (caught-caught notch) design, under-screen fingerprint reader (stupid and very slow if you need to open the screen before unlocking) and a slightly bigger battery. Maybe stereo speakers (from the renders) and IP rating.
But IP rating and just 10% battery capacity doesn't justify removing the jack. They will most likely use an always on screen so you don't need to open the screen to unlock the screen.
While this is fine it also means that the 10% capacity will cover the always-on consumption and the OP6T will have the same battery life of the OP6, so no real upgrade there.
At least also throw wireless charging capability so we can charge the phone while using headphones at the office.

Achmanx, 27 Sep 2018That's great but I'm sad it isn't coming with the even fast... moreThe faster the charging, the hotter the battery will get. Heat damages the battery, So your battery cells will die sooner. It's not ideal to charge at such high speeds. I suggest you stick to what you have right now.

What they need to add is wireless charging support...

See the iPhone XS price breakdown batteries are less than $10. But they need room, they expand and heat. Dimensions and everything else within the phone need to be considered not just cost
