Weekly poll: Realme 2 Pro, love it or hate it?

30 September 2018
Realme has seriously undercut the pricing on some premium mid-range features. Should Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus, even Oppo itself, worry?

The poll lacks the option: "Should I care?"

still xiaomi, POCO for being the cheapest flagship experience and MI A2 for stock android
if realme punched in an android one, then it would have been a massive move and a big hit to the other companies. well this is still gonna sell really well

Expected fast charging at this range and stock android (without all these bloatwares) would have been nicer.

I really don't mind about micro USB, no NFC and plastic body,
but...SD 660 on colorOS???? I believe is equal to SD 625/630 on stock android.

            Cons of this phone:
            Micro USB
            Plastic body
            No NFC
            No FM
            ColorOS
            Underclocked CPU
That's all I can remember from the top of my head.
Last year, Mi A1 had USB type C(for people in comments saying go buy expensive model for it)
Some people need FM, that's obvious
ColorOS is full of bugs compared to MIUI or stock android.
And the CPU being underclocked puts it in the league of other SD636 devices.

ColorOS is the biggest turnoff. I can stand the exclusion of FM, NFC and USB Type-C but if no Stock Android? Bye bye.

What incredible thing you would have done with the Type C? Do you transfer Data for 24 Hours?

Dude, what's more do you expect from 14K INR? Its a decent Phone which ticks almost all the necessary Boxes... Its a Well Balanced Phone...

Go Buy Flagships if You can afford and want the Type C...

Alien , 30 Sep 2018I'd never use a china brand.. So definitely not interested ... moreGood thing to know is that they dont copy high price tags. Xiaomi, huawei, oneplus, oppo are valuable companies, and their devices work pretty much flawlessly. And their copies are still good compared to unbranded generic copied devices which are trash.

                        2. Name one phone in this price point, or even a bit higher, that gives Type C (and also doesn't compromise on chipset, battery, camera etc)

I don't like BBK corp at all but this mid-range phone is good enough. Will see if they find backdoors and security holes there. If not - bbk can learn.

This phone is missing only three features :-

It's obviously good value. However I personally wouldn't buy it as it lacks NFC. I don't understand why so many of these Chinese phones dont have NFC. There are similarly priced phones with it and it would help them attract a wider market
