Some iPhone XS and XS Max units refuse to charge until you wake them up

The issue applies to wired charging and appears to be widespread; our samples are unaffected.

As I could remember there was never smooth releases for Apple, all the time some problems was arising, buggy software or some defected hardware, nothing new here

          There no defects but a security measures to prevent usb access on lock screen. its easy to solved it just go to settings/passwords & ID. enter your password and then scroll down to the bottom. There should be a option for usb option, just enable usb access on the lock screen and reboot. you can charge it normally when screen is locked as usual.

                      It is not a big deal to have to tap your phone in order to charge - but it is still here, and it still is a problem.
                      Problem is minor but it exists. And if Apple wants to avoid such harsh critisism for such a minor problem - they might want to rethink their pricing. I also said in other posts that Apple will not be able to keep this up for very long, and sp called buget iPhones are proof to that.

                        This seems linked the the same hyper-aggressive power saving because of which whatsapp messages don't get delivered while the phone is sleeping.

                        Also, wifi hotspot gets disconnected (even as it is being used!), If the phone is not on a charger.

                        The above two symptoms are from a 6s, BTW (so not just the Xs)

                          They already Charged too much from the Customers, so no need to Charge the Phone.... :)

Fair enough I'd say.
                              Yet, that doesn't change the fact your iPhone is defective and that you'll have to live with it, good try defending your position!

                                  Weird. Android fanboys get emotional and dramatic when there is an issue with an iPhone, but there were never any articles on the crackling speaker of the Pixel 2 XL. I guess that's expected on a phone you are only paying €900 for.
