In every post he is cringing about describing how Bluetooth earbuds are the future. Maybe he still hasn't figure out that the future lies in convenience.
And surely either he is lying or has a very bad hearing. This jabra elite 65 doesn't sound better than my Sennheiser HD599. It can hardly match the sound of my apple 3.5mm earbuds i got with my phone.

My question is what are you actually gaining by removing it? I don't think you have an appropriate answer for that.

I read 20+ articles and reviews and honestly can say about 17 told they are best money can buy.
Maybe you read the 3 which reccomended apple air pods :-)

I am sad to see OnePlus at this time like not caring about what people think is still very important, I feel OnePlus has lost its own characteristics. I want OnePlus to follow Samsung's way of not copying other manufacturers and brands and always be persistent in maintaining their characteristics

Jabra Sports Active 65T ... checked the reviews hmm bit naff if you ask me.. and i would say shure iem's would trash them.
As said bluetooth doesnt match a 3.5mm for quatily..
Them Jabra Sports Active 65T tech spec is rather limited.. seem likes its running on standard sbc bluetooth audio or aac at best..
Im trying to work out if your a salemans for jabra.. or really have bad hearing.. keep enjoying coviencing yourself that they are great..

Plus, as i said, there's still the problem of usb port's durability when used with headphones.
And battery usage will be another downside.
It's a bearable option and i wouldn't complain if a phone is good enough, but i'd definitely prefer the 3.5mm jack.

Crackling Doom, 04 Oct 2018I wouldn't. With a 3.5mm headphone jack, you just plug in y... moreI see your point, but what you and a few others misunderstood is that the 3.5mm-to-UsbC dongle would be provided free in the box.
And my solution would be to leave the dongle in the your car. So that every time you want to listen to music (but your car only has AUX port), you have car's stereo already connected to your aux cable, and you have the aux cable already connected to the dongle...so as soon as you sit inside your just connecting the UsbC-to-Dongle/Cable and its done.
This goes doubly with headphones...just leave the little dongle connected to the end of the headphone. Basically do NOT take the dongle with the phone, instead take the dongle WITH the accessory. And if you have three accessories, buy two more dongles ($2 each), and leave them connected to the accessories....though I doubt that situation occurs to most people.
Basically, I'm brainstorming a better solution to this topic without the drawbacks of other competitors. I wish I can make a poll here, which option do you want to use:
A) USB-C + 3.5mm
B) USB-C + USB-C
C) USB-C (I only use "digital" or wireless headphones)

I don't understand Oneplus. When I think about their choices:
Phone 1
- slow wireless charging (ideal when you just put your phone on the charge-pad whenever you don't use the phone)
- headphone jack (S7 has one and is waterproof)
- waterproof
Phone 2
- great haptic engine
- fingerprint scanner in another place
So Oneplus. What do you think consumers would want to spend their money on? Wireless charging or better vibrations? Waterproof or a newer fingerprint scanner?

In its place... moreIn all fairness, second usb port is not useless and can serve more purposes, like connecting a monitor or OTG device while charging. So i wouldn't mind the Asus ROG implementation where you have both 3.5mm jack AND 2 usb ports. And it's not even more expensive than the crippled Iphone X Max with no 3.5mm jack, no dual sim, no sd, no adequate cooling (Both previous and current bionic tend to overheat) and small battery.

You just did not try them and thats all.
