abcd, 22 Nov 2011yes..devices like wildfire s and desire s/hd should also ge... moreno the reason they are only putting it on the sensation and later models is that they are dual core phones and can handle it, your wildfire is a 800 mhz single core. even if they made a version for the wildfire, it would run so slow and be choppy because of its tiny prosessor and miniscule amount of ram.

If HTC wants to become master in India, they should provide ICS upgrade for some older versions like Wildfire S, HTC Salsa etc..

What happened to HTC supporting all their devices for 18 months? I went from Desire to Desire S and work in the phone industry. I'm F'd if I'm gonna continue using or promoting their devices.

Tell me if I buy the HTC Sensation XL now will it be obsolete in 6 months time like the Desire HD or am I better off an iPhone for consistency and stability? Judging by the comments so far it seems Android is still a toy so HTC can pump out volumes of low cost disposable consumer product. Cut and Run, sell & forget. Am I angry, sure am, I purchased the Desire HD 7 months ago thinking it was the latest and the best and will get ICS to find it's already obsolete.

I am disappointed to see that so few handsets get the upgrade. Strange thing is I do not even have an android phone. Robert Lichota.

It's android - this is the biggest con of it - you won't get an update unless smarphone company decides to update older devices than 3 months old. Basically, more than 50% of android users are left with same old software even if their device is released in a 6 months or has decent specs.
Only Google Nexuses get almost all android updates.
                                      FU android.
