    "The Sharp Aquos Zero will be available in Japan by the end of the year. There's no telling if it will be offered elsewhere at any point - but since the company now has a presence in Europe, maybe we'll see it there in the future."

    I doubted it, that models which enters european lineup (DC10 and C10) aren't available in japanese, that models are chinese-sharp phones, not japanese-sharp phones. And these japanese-sharp phones almost never exit from japan

          That notch is really disappointing considering they were the pioneers in getting rid of the top bezel.

Samsung produces best oleds in a... moreI used to remember Samsung and Lg made a bold comment about Sharp not being able to produce oled on their own and can't mass produce for the coming years. Sure, sharp might not have the capacity to mass produce them yet, but they were able to produce an in house oled by themselves which is an achievement. Lol, look who is talking now, the two brands that had to rely on buying oled technology and material license to produce oled.

When you buy a Japanese phone, a Sharp or a Fujitsu, you will get premium build quality I promise you! I am watching the evolution of Japanese phones for more than 10 years now. They have done some amazing things.
                      The specs of this phone are better than the one on the R2. I am amazed Sharp has made another flagship, there where no rumors about this one for this year release. What I don't like is the small battery capacity, and the back of the phone. Even the camera could be better, seriously, that 22.6 MP camera sensor is old, and the 1.9 aperture is not great either. For example the R2 takes some horrible low light shots, and videos. Maybe this one is better.
                      Anyway I wish the best for Sharp, a company is special to me for around 11 years for now :)

                        I love Sharp, but the back of this one looks kinda ugly, and why that old 22 MP camera with only 1.9 aperture? The R2 takes some horrible videos at night. Believe me, I know what I am saying, I watch Japanese phones for more than 10 years now, and there are a few videos on YT as well, but it is hard to find them. Build quality is very good at Japanese division of Sharp, screen quality is also very good, but the camera performance in low-light is weak, and on this that 3130 mAh battery is way too small I believe.

                            Didn't expect that.

                                      I remembered when sharp was a pioneer in bezel-free smartphones in 2013-2015 period, the design would inspire the Mi mix series. Then in 2016 sharp went back to traditional design, and now 2018 we get this???
