Finally the Tegra in a HTC. I was thinking to upgrade to a Rezound when it comes out, but I think I will pass until this thing comes out. Rezound isn't any faster than my flashed Sensation anyway.

At the end, those companies who actually have patents and techs will survive the competition. No more software gimmicks and parts from other companies.

HTC has no battery cell techs, no display tech(Sony&Samsung'S S-LCD) and no cpu techs(I know his parent company is VIA, but they aren't strong in both ARM & X86).

I wonder how far this (Taipei) Chinese company can go like this rate.

After read the comments, I conclude that the world is separated into 2 groups:

First group filled with realistic, down to the earth people, always said that single or dual core is enough for their life and thinks decent fluidity with decent battery life is the most important thing.

Second group is whiners, also known as internet troll, always said that they need a thousand cores, when the thousand cores come they want a million cores, then billion, trillion or even gazillion.

          Get real guys.

            Beast. Quad core FTW!

arsalanronin, 08 Nov 2011I think 2 gigs of RAM would suit the quad-core badge better.I think you're right about this. 1 GB of Ram isn't enough. This monster phone could be a FAIL if the battery capacity is below 3000 Mah. As I know HTC, they will make the mistake again, and will put 2000 Mah battery, or a little bit more. :( HTC overall is a good company, I am a Samsung AND HTC fan.

HTC is a monster!! They are working very hard, but we don't need Quad Core yet! Dual Core is MORE than enough, but I appreciate their work. By the way a Quad Core phone need at least a 3000 mAh of battery. HTC suck in batteries.

Anonymous, 08 Nov 2011looooooooooooooooooolllll how did u use your sg2? as an ala... moreLast summer I went for camping and used sgs2 as flash light, camera (30 pictures), 2 x 5min vids, 30 min star map, 10 min call, 30+ text messages both ways, and alarm clock only (flight mode most of the time). It lasted 6 days with about 50% remaining. Pretty funny right?

Remember those days when the mobiles started out massive and then got smaller as time went on?

Lol and now things are just getting bigger, if this continues you'll see the mobiles falling away and we'll end up walking around with a tablet stuck to our face in an attempt to make a phonecall.

AnonD-3929, 08 Nov 2011Hope Galaxy SIII comes out with similar specs. Similar? You mean better spec with 32nm(28nm perhaps?) exynos(Tegra 3 is 40nm), better display and better battery cells.

One of my biggest problems with HTC has always been there battery they don't last the day. Even if you don't touch the phone by the middle of the day it will be dead.

Now they they are coming out with a quad core, what for to fly you to the moon and back?

I have been using HTC since the Hero but after their announcement of the handsets they will be updating I won't bother a phone that you bought in April is now not able to update. Yep Android will march on but without me

Well if it's going to come out with ICS on it why does it have hardware keys???
                                        Doesn't ICS not require these?
