Can we use in display scanner even if the screen is on? For app authentication or payments or is it just to unlock the phone?

The underdisplay fingerprint sensor will not as fast as the old one on the back of the OP6 so I will wait for the Oneplus version of Super VOOC charge

He says "With the UD FP Reader, you won't miss the 3.5mm jack"
Maybe their latest "innovation" is going to somehow connect with your wired headset by touching it at the right spot on the device, so you won't miss the jack.

But that only works for Apple with their cult followers. In Android, that's an insane move that makes zero sense.

OnePlus uses the Technology, which Apple can't reach it until 2025.
But removing HJ is just stupid. I'm sure many people gonna stop buying the phone because of lack of HJ.

LOL they really are insane, like most Android manufacturers, and actually believe they'll get away with removing the 3.5mm jack. And they believe it despite the results in their own poll (In their forum where the biggest fan-boys are....oh wait, brands like them hardly have any fan-boys. They are supposed to be a brand for geeks/power users and not loyal sheep who buy "premium" brands):
Is removing the headphone jack from the OP6T a good idea?

I don't think the under-display fingerprint sensor is something we've not seen or done before, it's already available on VIVO smartphones. It's more of a reinvented fingerprint sensor in my opinion
