Anonymous, 08 Oct 2018What about those of us with $399 wired Bose headphones that... more+1. I have heard wired £30 headphones that definetely sounded better than the £300+ wireless equivalents I pitted them against. So why would I choose wired over wireless generally?

1. No charging required and no battery to run out.
2. Less battery drain from the phone as a result of not needing Bluetooth.
3. Cost less and sound better in my experience.

    this will be my next phone, mate 20 or the mate 20 pro ..
    with or without jack, these will still be my options ..
    im excited for October 16 ..

            Bizarre. Samsung gets this bit right, Huawei drop the ball. Such a shame that the specs suffer. Especially as only the Pro and Lite will be available in UK.

                      Compared to cheap one which can use cheap wired dongles for 2 euros.

                          Weaker phone comes with jack for cheap earphones from china
                          Where the more exopensive one will have no jjack because bluetooth and wireless options cost also more.

                            But the phones closest to achieving it right now are the Galaxy Note9, LG V40 and hopefully, the Mate20 (vanilla, non-Pro).

                              Seems like Huawei hasn't completely learnt the lesson.

                              So, the Mate 20 will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack and tinier, less obstructive dew-drop notch.

                              So for the second consecutive year, the vanilla Mate will be a better phone than the pro version.
