Facebook is the last company I'd buy this sort of product from. If they have a camera you can 'physically disconnect' that means you have to or it's permission given for them to snoop. Same with every other feature you choose to make use of. They just don't behave responsibly with their information network surrounding facebook so why would we trust them for it with a new product solely made by them for their intentions of what a product should be and do.

No one is talking about who's tracking who's not because there's no one who's not tracking but who's abusing and how is important. everyone is tracking you. even a Nokia 3310 had GPS built and you had no idea about it until it's unveiled in 2014 (I'm not sure about the date).
So as i already mentioned Facebook is abusing our data in the most horrible way. Facebook will sell all our data to everyone who pays no matter CIA, FBI, NSA, China, Isis, Taliban, North Korea. Zuckerburg doesn't give a s**t about anything else than money. I hope you get my point because I'm not rejecting it, that Google, Apple, Amazon and all others are tracking us, I'm only talking about the result of those information.
Btw. I'm not sure about what you said about google chrome, would you tell us what is the source of what you said about google chrome story?

i love it.. GSMARENA has gone a long way.. from exclusively covering GSM phones, to all phones, to promising to NEVER post rumors, to posting about ALL tech, to posting rumors, but all of those were written in a ahmmm.. professional(?) way.. in the last 2-3 years, i noticed a lot of typos. recently the writers are showing a lot of angsts in their articles.. and now this, trolling on their own article.. don't get me wrong... facebook deserves all the bashing... i'm just saying.. gsmarena.. has gone a long way... writers are very VERY opinionated now..

A court ordered FB to try and retrieve info from a person account whom filed a harrassment communication account. They didnt reply to the court. So much for supporting Women!

But a few weeks ago it was all over the news how Google tracks your location, even if you turn off "track location" feature and even when user was not using his phone.
Quote: "A dormant, stationary Android phone (with the Chrome browser active in the background) communicated location information to Google 340 times during a 24-hour period, or at an average of 14 data communications per hour. "
In respect of user privacy (or lack of it), I see no difference between Google and Facebook.
