08 October 2018
The company knew about the breach but decided not to tell users to avoid regulatory actions.

The + was a geekish oddity of a name from the getgo probably scaring some potential new users away.

It was good to test beta apps, but Telegram is always here. They should reborn it as Google minus

What a shame, I use that application most of the time while I'm at home or college wanting to know what happened in the mobile tech world or Neuroscience world. Rest in peace.....

Sushant Sic, 08 Oct 2018Well it never worked for Google though... I personally neve... moreFB's not going down if you're asking for law to do it

Well it never worked for Google though... I personally never logged in there so before I ever could see what the Google+ was, it has been taken down... *Saved*

            So... When's the Facebook's turn?

It's been the most useless thing out of all social network platforms anyway. Completely necessary, yet it was forced - and torally flopped! Then even a security flaw. What a disaster.

If this has been easy & open since 2015 & only discovered earlier this year & people CONNECTED to google+ users have also been affected then how come the number is so specific & under 500,000?
I doubt that they would have any real idea of the numbers unless google themselves were using for the same data mining reasons too.

                  Lol, google went like: "Google+ ?! , What Google+ ?!".

I don't know the use of Google+ ever since it started to operate and I think it's not really useful.

It looks like the data-miners are now from the US and not from China anymore. Haha

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2018Loool, people are afraid of chinese companies when millions... moreI am from the EMEAn area, but I think I understand why. US is more open, and people (most of them) are trusting the land of unlimited possibilities.
However, China as the political status it has (Dictatorship if I recall correctly) can use it for whatever they want and you wouldn't even understand. (Sorry if I hurt any feeling of 1.5 billion chineses, no harm intended) as it's done in foreign language, and it scares the western person.

smells like another one lawsuit against Google...

Loool, people are afraid of chinese companies when millions of people are getting their data breached by US companies.

                              Good. Google+ was irrelevant anyway

The overall 43 users of Google+ will miss it.

                                    That came out of nowhere...

I do use my Google+ account to signup to other sites. Saves a lot of time... I guess gotta do it the old school way now...
