Bu... moreYes,not an impresive number at all.And we know that profit margins runs exponentialy with the base price,so this explains a lot why Xiaomi and Huawei and BBK are spaming zilions mid and low range models every month.Their earning model are simply based on quantity produced,another usuall trick is packing the same hardware in dozens different models-again guantity.

Apple is available in almost every country in the world, while Xiaomi's presence is still limited, yet it is still selling heaps of devices. If Xiaomi would sell phones in other countries, and in the USA officially, they'd probably become the No.2 smartphone manufacturer in the world.

It's like the thing you think they spy on you. Seriously if they get data from millions of the customers they need a million work horses to go trough it all. If your a criminal then it's a different story and you want to do business trough your phone safe and dont want nobody to collect your data. But then again we all need NFC that every government can track you with.

Many of co-workers asked me what phone did I order online when my Redmi 5A was delivered in our office. I said "Xiaomi", then all of them asked me "What brand is that?". LOL. They did not know because Xiaomi is not available in my city.

If the Mi 8 had a microSD card slot and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, those number would have been way higher.
