Anonymous, 10 Oct 2018HTC G1 - Nexus One-> microsd slot and 3.5mm jack present... moreExcellent. It's like Google is getting progressively worse each year.

Most of the Nexus smartphones didn't have a microSD card slot, and that used to be my biggest gripe.

But now looking at how skimped-out the Pixels are, I really miss the days of the Nexus, which bought excellent value for money.

It was the OG $300 flagship, much before OnePlus One and Poco F1.

TheGoldenMellifluous, 10 Oct 2018For me, Google Pixel is okayish... But when i'd rather choo... moreI'd choose the Sony too just because it has a card slot, dedicated camera button and doesn't follow the notch trend. Sony is a diversified business dating back to the 1940's (Google, where were you?) whereas big G is a undeveloped new kid on the block.

I wouldn't mind a Samsung Android One phone like the Galaxy Nexus - who knows it might actually be a great seller for them.

I enjoy reading info-graphics but this one is so scarce, skimped out on when compared to the Galaxy Note line edition.

But anyways, why was the G1 "manufactured" and the rest just "made" ?

TheGoldenMellifluous, 10 Oct 2018For me, Google Pixel is okayish... But when i'd rather choo... moreI think the same, Really, between those two I'd grab an XZ3.

If you look at my "chart" below, you will find out Google is slowly "crippling" hardware and software over the years.

              IP68 dust/water resistant too :) on Pixel 3 (XL)

For me, Google Pixel is okayish... But when i'd rather choose between XZ3 and Pixel 3, XZ3 is better, even it's not perfect (waiting for Sony haters here to reply on my commentary LOL)

Nexus S - Pixel / Pixel XL -> NO microsd slot, 3.5mm jack present as STANDARD
Pixel 2 / Pixel 2 XL - present -> NO microsd slot, NO 3.5mm jack
Pixel 3 / Pixel 3 XL - present -> ONLY gesture based navigation

The Pixel 3 XL should be named FUGU rather than CROSSHATCH because it's as ugly as a FUGU fish and nowhere near the beauty of a CROSSHATCH fish. Besides, FUGU is a more apt name for a smartphone that pretends to be big and feature packed, but like the pufferfish, is actually more empty space filled with air rather than meat. And worse, can cause acute toxicity and fainting, which is what you will experience with the Pixel 3XL when you find out you just wasted $1,000 for a phone that doesn't even have micro sd card expansion, dual sim, headphone jack, and 4000mAh battery.

KeitaiOtaku, 10 Oct 2018The RAM amount is wrong for the Pixel 3s. It is 4GB not 6GB.You're right, I've edited the image. Thanks!

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2018Wasnt pixel 3 4gigs of ram? Am I wrong here? You are correct. Neither Pixel 3, nor Pixel 3 XL have 6 GB of RAM, they both have 4 Gigs.

The Nexus lineup were the best "Google" branded products. They all had their shortcomings, but were very competitive & offered good value for money.

The Pixel branded phones are nothing but overpriced iPhone clones with inferior build quality, design & features. I don't like iPhones, but even i would recommend an iPhone over these trash Pixel phones.

On the other hand, stock Android is available in plenty of phones these days, so if that's your thing, you can look at those options rather than the Pixels.

It is an unforgivable sin to compare the Legendary NEXUS to an eyebleach utter horrible hot garbage named the Pixel
