They released this update to fix the problems that users were complaining about. Which is fast becoming a common occurrence with Apple. Most other manufacturers don't release updates like that, because they get it right from the start.

No other users reporting issues, must be network related.

Suggest they look inhouse rather than blaming the product this time.

sarsmajor, 11 Nov 201146 mb ota but still 732 mb while updating via itunes wonde... moreThe difference is the OTA is a delta file update where as iTunes is a fullback and restore update of the entire OS.

OTA will only have the necessary files that need overwriting.

Personally I won't be doing this upgrade as I don't have battery issues on my iP4 till I get the green light from the Dev team that it can have an untethered jailbreak.

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2011ip4s dont have any signal problem its just your network ove... moreif somebody has poor connection problem with iphone 4s, then why do u blame his or her carrier. I generally noted that if people have connection problem with all phones, then they doesn't complain. so that guy must have checked with other phone for connection problems and dropped call and then they are complaining. given consideration to somebody opinion and complains. At the end of day, its phone and not miraculous thing.

I dont notice any change(s) to my settings, contacts or downloaded apps except the version iOS 5.0 became iOS 5.0.1.

No backups done at all prior to OTA update.

                        Very smooth and fast OTA.

Apple.....keep up with the good support and maintain the standard.

Till now, no other telcos can compare or beat Apple in this field.

this is how fast apple releases its software updates...unlike android phones where people have to wait 6 to 9 months to get a tiny update because ur phone manufacturer or cell operator wont give it to u!!

AnonD-6838, 11 Nov 2011ahh samsung promised an galaxy sl and a bada update in asia... moreTrue! My dads SGS2 havent recieve any update until now. I live in Malaysia..

But most of the software dependant Operating system get their lastest update on time or with a surprise..
The company that really give update to their phone is Nokia. MeeGo and Symbian is still a success until now because of their updates. Plus with WP, Nokia is still giving up update..

Nokia will force microsoft to gives out updates as fast as possible..

Google Android should go for software dependent because google has too many product and they have to sync all their product into 1 software. Such product are Google Music, Android market, G+ and etc.
It is a big possibility after the ICS. For sure!

Google has to do something about the fragmentation issue. Alot of company make their own version of android. So maybe there will be only one look on all android phones.. The robotic font and etc.

                              Think about it!

Huge problems with dropped calls for iphone4s users in sweden. many angry people give back their iphones to the operators. all 4 operators in sweden now says that iphone 4s has serious connectivity problems!

this can be huge bad news for apple.
