I'm still hoping for ARCore support on my Mix 2, since Mix 2s has it, but it's been months already and there's nothing.

Still incredibly happy with my Mix 2S, great phone, especially for $600 (and it is now even cheaper).

The Mi Mix series of phones are getting replaced too quickly :( When I bought my Mix 2 a few months ago, it was the current generation Xiaomi flagship, and soon it's going to be literally two generations behind. :(

It was not a "downgrade" the mi mix line-up went to a smaller form factor. look up screen sizes and dimensions of the phones.

Looks promising... but I don't want a stupid Find X like slider on my phone. Please keep your phone as it is right now, Xiaomi.

All on all , Mix 2/s was a giant step back for xiaomi is many ways. Lower Body to Screen Ratio, less premium looking, far lower battery. It did have a better camera over Mix 1 though.

Hopefully Mix 3 would be as top notch as Mix 1 was for its time.

TheGoldenMellifluous, 16 Oct 2018Well, Mi Mix 2 situation was a better a bit tho. Its compan... moreYes. I remember it too. The Mi Note 2 had a flagship SD 821. The Mi Note 3 was expected to have a SD 835, instead it came with SD 660. The 3.5 mm jack was removed and the battery was cut down by 570 mAh.

It was like Xiaomi had lost it's mind.

But, I found the Mi Mix 2 more shocking because not only did the STB ratio go down, not only did the 3.5 mm jack get removed, but the battery got CUT DOWN BY A WHOPPING 1000 MAH.

I don't think any company has ever had such a downgrade. Did they think we would not notice?

The battery endurance got seriously affected too:
Mi Mix (4400 mAh): 97 hours.
                                    Mi Mix 2 (3400 mAh): 65 hours.
                                    Mi Mix 2s (3400 mAh): 59 hours.

                                    What a terrible downfall....

S version usually gets new CPU

Whackcar, 16 Oct 2018Mi Mix 2s was a failure, hopefully the Mix 3 will be better... moreIs there? Where? I only know of two almost bezelless and that is Oppo Find X and Vivo Nex (series).

Both of them with limited availability worldwide and their UI is just too intrusive with no benefit for me as a consumer. MIUI's benefit is that they do provide updates for quite long.

Find X is too poorly constructed, with regards to the slider, so really only the Vivo Nex is an option, but not tempting enough due to Funtouch OS, weak camera for it's price and also the resolution is too low for it's screen size - primarily due to pentile AMOLED. Would be good enough if FHD+ IPS or QHD+ AMOLED.
