Lol at Android users coming here to bash iPhones over a battery issue. So I take it Android phones are perfect eh? Of course they are. I mean you only have serious antenna issues on a HTC and bugs galore on Samsungs, but let's focus on the iPhone as the battery drains in a day. Forgive me if im wrong but ain't an iPhone a smartphone and ain't smartphone batteries notorious for draining, due to the nature of the phone?

Oh I get it. Android phones are not as great as iPhones so any issue is a major issue when it comes to iPhones, even though Androids have issues themselves. But oh no, the Android user thinks an Android phone is 100% perfect!!!!

LOL ha ha ha ha

I have 3 issues with the new ios5 update.

1st is the battery, yes it's less compare to when the phone was in ios4
2nd is the keyboard, it responds very slow while typing fast, this I specially felt after updating to ios5. I don't know if others are facing it.
3rd is the wifi connection. After upgrading the phone to ios5 my wifi connection automatically disconects even if the phone is in the range, The phone automatically connects again when going back into the settings.

All these problems makes the experience worst.

N Lucas, 12 Nov 2011When will the call echo issues be solved?Yeah +1
and the contact names issue too
It's either you add the IDD code and have the names in messages but not calls. Or you don't add the IDD code to the number and you have it in call but not messages

hope the echo and contact names issues both get solved sooooon

Hypocritical really, when this has been going on for years with Android. Yet now that it's Apple, it's big news.

Oh well, with popularity, comes envy.

Either a number of people don't know how to optimise a smartphone battery, or providers like AT&T are at fault for not having enough antennas installed. Poor signal= the phone has to compensate and use more juice.
It's the same for me where I work, which has poor coverage. My battery dies a lot faster than at home where I get a good signal.

Why don't people just go online and buy another battery,,,,,,,,,,oh yeah, that's right.

Purchased my iPhone 4S today from Vodafone. Until now I haven't noticed any problem with the battery. I left it 2 hours on standby without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and when I checked it was the same percentage as in the beginning.

It has not affected my iPad 2. I do believe this to be an issue of course, but you have to wonder how this has been allowed to happen.

Yet the myth continues that Apple stuff "just works"...

Owned iPhone 4S & iOS 5 software. Used for about two weeks already. Never had any issues on battery life. Lasted two days per charge on normal use.

lol now they know how an old school Android user feels! That was the one thing that drove me crazy, still dose. My old Blackberry could go forever with out a charge. I'm lucky to get a day out my G2. Ain't bashing to each is their own, but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw this.

On a sidenote . Battery leaks are not necesarily software related . It could have something to do with the new antenna design . And its only present in some area where users are near some weaker gsm antennas or something. And the phone is switching between the two antennas so it keeps the signal alive.

                                    Im just speculating here :)

Microsoft has been through this phase albeit thanks to Apple. Now it's your turn Apple, ironically. Let's see how well they handle the pressure. On another point, why do I have the feeling that only those without problematic iPhone 4S are they only one posting?
