Kostas, 17 Oct 2018B20 is very useful in both for mountainous and rural areas ... morehere in austria only two providers got a band20 license, telekom (a1) and t-mobile, my provider hutchison (3) for example offers band 3 only and volte over band 8 (900mhz).

Oooh wow, I hope this does not happen when this phone arrives in South Africa

Never had an issue with any XiaoMi phones from where I am, Asia, I can use my phone with practically any carriers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand...

It's not incompetence, it's the country you residing in that restricts their band... So remember, when you point a finger, the other 3 points back at yourself...

      Bye...

Nice phone with a very good price, but how much more would it have cost them to put a multi-mode global band on that phone? Even though a nice phone with good specs, the absence of LTE bands in the US market makes it not very usable. This would have been a huge hit on every market if it had global bands, understanding there would be some increase in price as well.

I live in Northern-Europe and i have all 3 bands supported on my Xiaomi phone for 4G.
Event a B20 band that i really dont need but people have panic if they dont have it :D

And you cant really blame Xiaomi for the not in market in US. Thats something that US is in war with China in electronics and what not. And US market isnt that big to get there and eat up all the requirements asked for to be in US market.

Anonymous, 17 Oct 2018'killer price' . . . for what? for a useless piece of j... moreYes I can agree on that. It's just a phone with SD845 and that gimmicky liquid cooling system. Nothing extra it's screen is worst. Camera in low lights are bad. No fast updates. Op6 already got pie if you're saying flagship than treat it like flagship. No 4g support is a pure deal breaker. Who buys a phine without 4g now days.

They can buy the cheapest LTE hotspot enabled phone, such as Nokia 3310 and to use the pocophone. Much better option than the Palm companion
