4gb of ram? gtfo samsung

SH.T, 19 Oct 2018i own a galaxy book, actually 4GB is enough, tablets are fo... moreYou are comparing apples to oranges at this stage.

Galaxy Book is running on a FULL Windows 10 and on Intel chipset running on Intel Core M3 which is optimized for Windows OS. Hence, 4GB is enough to run and install STANDARD Windows applications.

Galaxy Book2 is running on Windows 10 S which is a lighter version (which you can upgrade to FULL Windows 10... at your own risk). Yes, 4GB is enough to RUN but this is YET to be proven as Windows 10 (at least the full version) is NOT YET stable for ARM chipsets. Hence, I don't think photoshop nor light work mode for this device is applicable.

Besides, the price is NOT justified.

It's a farce that this thing doesn't have 8GB RAM. Everything else boasts flagship tablet specs. Too bad.

This tablet has 4GB of RAM, yet phones have 8GB of RAM. Well, this sucks.

RAM is too few. It's a WINDOWS device... ATLEAST 6 GB for decent performance.

7h3N319hb0r, 19 Oct 2018Oh no. This is running Windows S only. Then the price is NOT justified.

                      imparanoic1, 19 Oct 2018US$1000 for a snapdragon based windows 10s is a bit steep, ... moreAgree!!!
Windows on ARM is SUPPOSED to compete by lowering the price.
It's either Sammy abused it or it's all hype.

About DUAL OS booting, BOTH Windows and Google already had an official statement about that. Hence, we're not going to see it anytime soon (unless you consider the Chinese blackmarket units... they have dual OS boots there).

Qualcomm SoC on Windows is supposed to compete by LOWERING manufacturing cost and retail price.
                        Looks like Sammy abused it.

which better ... this or i7 8th gen normal laptop ..... almost same price , right ??

Alright, I have to admit, I'm starting to get what people are saying about Samsung and overpriced products. They really need to tone it down

US$1000 for a snapdragon based windows 10s is a bit steep, especially with only 4GB, wonder if the performace is a bit sluggish due to limited ram, also no hdmi output, the worst aspect, why did they take advantage of the architecture and made it dual boot windows 10s and andriod 8/9 which would be a unique selling point

$1000 for a mobile phone SoC?!?

I suppose some phones cost more than that now but why not use the 8th Gen Intel Core Y-Series processors, like Core i7-8500, i5-8200Y, m3-8100Y at 5W (10 less than the previous gen!).

Add another USB-C or two while you're at it and have a genuine success in your hands...

Honestly, is it so difficult for someone at Samsung to think of these things? 😞

AnonD-558092, 19 Oct 2018Dang! You are right. This is dead for me then no matter whatYou can do a free upgrade to windows 10 home and a paid one to 10 pro, same for any Windows 10 S laptops

12 inches of AMOLED is nice and all but that price tag is a bit excessive, isn't it? I mean, this device is going to be outperformed by the Surface Go. Is the 500 buck premium really worth it for that screen? =/
