I think the design looks nice at least it stands out, but for bb not to burn to ash they need something revoloutionary allowing ios and android access to bbm is a bad move.... Unless of course bb is getting something back in return??? Food for thought. Oh and the spec seems decent but thos time next ur the galaxy ace will be dual core its simple economics so if bb wants to compete and still be premium then i agree the specs need to b upped even if it is pointless

It looks nice but the phone looks a bit big, and the edges are too thick! I hope they will develop the design a bit more

it appears that this device is designed by "Porsche Design"... Porsche's version (p9981) of bold 9900 is beautiful... and this rumored device looks equally attractive, if not better then bold p9981.

The alarm icon looks like a replica of Samsung Galaxy S2 alarm icon.

Not too bad. But I expect a case of 'too little, too late.' And it is sad. Robert Lichota

Q3 2012!!!!!! Its only barely Q3 2011. So they're going to release a dualcore then when quadcore smartphones are going to appear. (not tablets which are already coming out)

Looks awesome. But, Q3 2012? If that's true, it sounds like it's at risk of being rather late to the party, at least hardware-wise.

finally, something acceptable from blackberry, at least spec wise, now lets them give us some exclusive features and innovations, if not, they are doomed anyway

Not that i usually like Blackberrys overpriced junk, but to the people complaining about the specsheet of this phone, i ask you "why do you people need quad core on your phone?"..

Please tell me, i am dying to know..

Specially when developers today struggle to even make use of 1GHz. It's already overkill for a phone.

And exactly why do you people need more than 8MP on your phones? Are you planning to print out all the photos to poster size?

To all you wanna be spec sheet people, good luck with the battery life of a quad core phone.

Running a mobile iOS, Android or WP7 app on quad core is like putting Fiat engine in a Lamborghini.

But of course, manufacturers have to come out with new marketing tricks to sell more devices.

Quad core on a phone is utterly useless until maybe in 4 years when apps development is going forward again.

There is absolutely nothing a phone today or the coming 4 years that even remotely needs a quad core to run.

Be sure to carry extra batteries!

                                      Give this;
a 4.5- to 5-inch screen with the same 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, the 1.5 ghz, 1 GB RAM, a LANDSCAPE KEYBOARD with JUST the black-bezelled screen sliding and tilting a'la the Nokia E7/ n950 and it'll kick ass!!

Guys, it's not about how many million cores it have. It's about how the OS could optimize the hardware and how much it could save the battery. Sure we don't want running Windows 95 on a 12-cores PC.
