this phone has disapperared from several ditributors websites a few days ago.
Had it been dual sim i had actually bougt it as the price dropped to 499 euros.

No, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is available to buy on both Nokia Online Store(Rs.36,000) as well as on Flipkart(Rs.49,999). And there is no weird redirect or something, One can buy it easily without any hassle.

just look at its products. all of them are too Generic. Just a plain stock android os without any features. The camera also have average quality. Samsng, sony, appl, and hwawei have much better cameras.

All these comments about this model failing simply never knew NOKIA from before HMD.. Since when the Sirocco, Arte series meant to be a top seller? It was and always be a niche device more focused to design and aesthetic.. LOL.. HMD gets to the top 10 phone manufacturer within 1 year beating HTC, Sony, Asus and came close to LG.. HMD failing? Maybe it's you who fail to realise the rise of HMD-NOKIA.. Wait till you wake up and everybody left and right are using NOKIA again and you'll rub your eyes to no end..

Domestoboto, 22 Oct 2018Does it really matter if the phone has or has not a 3.5mm p... moreAudio over Bluetooth is a 'makeshift' idea which is NO BETTER than 3.5mm in MOST aspects (audio quality, phone's battery, headset's battery, headset's charging time, bringing two chargers, etc).
Many people valued their health over 'trendy' Bluetooth headsets radiation.
Many people valued their money to buy other thing over 'expensive, aging' Bluetooth headsets.
Many people valued their time over 'slow charging' Bluetooth headsets.
Many people valued the convenience of bringing NO CHARGER over 'meager' battery capacity Bluetooth headsets.
From the start, the idea behind Bluetooth was for more convenient DATA transfer, as Infrared transfer was not that convenient (phones should be as close as possible, 1mm off and the data transfer will be interrupted, etc).
It was Apple who STUBBORNLY insisted to use Bluetooth for NOTHING but Audio, which is ABSURD, as Bluetooth does consume MORE POWER than 3.5mm jack-- a fact that ALL manufacturers know but choose to turn a blind eye because of the greed.
Unfortunately, Apple's ABSURD idea was 'well-received' by ALL manufacturers as 'innovation' (out of greed). Since then, many people feared that, in the near future, Apple will, once again, introduced another ABSURD idea which led to the removal of 3.5mm jack, which come true in 2016.
Lastly, as long as SENSIBLE and SANE person still alive, NO ONE going to ACCEPT Bluetooth headsets as a 'new standard' and lose ur money to buy something 5x more INCONVENIENT than 3.5 mm jack (cheap, durable, no battery, no charging, no radiation, no shit!)
