Shanti Dope, 24 Oct 2018I think it should only be called as Helio P63. Helio P70 m... moreI'm agree with your opinion about P70 (except about Cortex A75...if brings nothing in real-use)

But If don't think that Mediatek should developpe their own gpu. They don't have the money for that...and PowerVR need customers.
They had many things to developpe first :
    - improve their 4g
    - work on 5g to be ready (they seem to be)
    - improve ISP
    - improve their core management...corepilot is great, but If seems to be the key go improve AI for less costs.

Remember that Apple doesn't developpe bluetooth/wifi/3g/4g/5g

      I'm dissapointed...P70 isn't what I expect.

      P60 is great.
This one is like others said a P63.
I expect A73 at 2.4ghz...with that kind of frequency, it will provide devices faster than SD710...I don't care of A75
One more G72 core for GPU.

And bluetooth 5.0 like on P22 and A22

That was NOT supposed to be the REAL Helio P70....
It was supposed to bump the Clock of the A73 cluster up to 2.5 Ghz and add one Mali Core to make it up to MP4. At the same clock.

Also, it was supposed to add the GPU core since there were space for one more core...

          That is just a rebrand.

And as they told, it is just an Helio P63.

I think it should only be called as Helio P63.
Helio P70 must have the newer Cortex A75 at least, or be built on the slightly newer and better 10nm process.
The GPU could've had an additional core instead of just overclocking the current one a little bit. That's the only way I would consider it as the real Helio P70, but other than that, I have absolutely zero complaints on this chipset.
As soon as MediaTek gains enough profit, they should also try investing in developing their own GPU like Apple in order to give better competition to the Android SoC competition

Glad to hear MediaTek didn't cancel Helio P70 like I thought. Hope the P40 is announced next.

It's barely an upgrade over the p60. Now wonder qualcomm is slouching around with the 670/675. Mediatek will never improve their reputation by releasing a meager chipset like this

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2018Why can't they put a better GPU in there? Yeah

Still one of the best or should I say the best option for budget smartphones

Cool. Maybe we will see the Helio P70 in the next ultra-budget successor of the Realme 1.
