        i like vr and gaming

This design is way simple and not attractive at all, why Samsung waste the money patent this useless design? It should be a Z-fold or W-fold.

Don't need flexible tablet. It will be so expensive, because they will charge all research cost to customers. Anyway cellphone size getting bigger and bigger.
If Samsung create flexible or folded TV will be great for a small studio apartment.

Kajzi, 24 Oct 2018I admit, it is cool, but what else? I mean, could someone e... moreIt's not just cool, it has a practical use too.

You can fold the screen so you get a device that half's the size and more portable (easier to carry around while commuting and fit in your pockets/bag). You may also use it for one-handed use, like say a 7-inch ebook reader.

But if you have the space (home or office), you can expand the screen to get more screen surface area for larger or more text, better productivity, or for a bigger, immersive video-experience.

I hope you understand it now. It's not a gimmick. Think of a foldable newspaper as a reference.

Hi Shamsung, now reduce your thick bezel tablet first. Without any innovation you could do it. Another thing, your tablet is so expensive without any much different than other tablet.

I admit, it is cool, but what else? I mean, could someone explain why is it useful or good other than it is cool? I don't really see the practical use for it. To me it seems to be as useful or practical as curved edges. It's cool that we can do it, but why else is it good? :D

AnonD-632062, 24 Oct 2018Sweet. That's true innovation. Are you even serious? I literally suggested the exact same solution off the top of my head in response to the last flex-related article here. What that says is not that I'm smart but that the patent is stupidly obvious and should have never been granted.
