I can't see it selling very well since JioPhone 2 is available at exactly half the price and the original JioPhone at 1/4th. Also both the Jiophones are bundled with exclusive tariff plan that is cheapest in the country (0.66 USD for 1GB data + unlimited calling for 28 days).

I have the phone. I got it because I wanted to develop apps for the platform.
Almost all information in this article is false.
There is no whatsapp for this phone.
What is available for the jio phones is not also available for the Nokia 8110.
Developer mode is disabled by Nokia on the phone, so you cannot develop apps for it.
Other than the good stand-by time and cool yellow color, there is nothing useful in this phone.

vrvly, 24 Oct 2018can imagine such phone with hi end camera would be pretty p... moreWell it is generally a 'budget friendly' device with little over basic functionality. A slightly smart feature phone. But do not expect anything fancy!
And the store is still for all practical purposes empty (A weather app, a narcissistic media app, and a few games), and I begin to doubt that there ever will be any content made available...
So do not expect a variant with any upgrades...

That apps comes to the platform does NOT mean that they also are available for the 8110...
