Samsung is doing things wrong on so many levels latley. Almoust as if they try to ruin their company image on purpose. 4 rear cameras is almoust satirical, now hole on display? And their design has also been going down the toilet latley. Prices are high and specs are - low...
They ruin their flagships aswell - Bixby is here to confirm you that.
Samsung would continue to lead the market if it wasn't for those mistakes!

2. Thumb sized no... moreI 100% agree, Samsung spends huge sums of money into developing gimmicks that aren't really useful. Iris scanner for example - how many people actually use it?
To make it worse they will charge you double for that gimmick that you don't need. Because 1 - it costs them to make it, 2 - they invested into developing it.
Notch is way better solution than actual hole in your display, not to mention that they have another not needed hole - a headphone jack.

2. Thumb sized notch is better tha hole in display i can confirm it.
3. Samsung innovation kills. (For example bended / curved screens are very resistant to proper screen protector. Noobne would comply unless it putting like 10+ a day which i do in my shop and its a dissaster)
4. In case of Samsung theyy always thinking only on theoretical basis point 3 described. Having something to call an innovation and finding its not working as it should is really bad. Try to get a cover when you ahve your screen protector. It will push your screen protector of from your phone (Most covers, cases and book cases)
5. Samsung is trying to make a full screen being a fingerprint reader. My phone can be locked and unlocked by pressing the finger print reader. If a whole screen would work like this it will be impossible to work with your phone because you will lock your screen durring typping or so.
6. Samsung so called innovation cost plenty of money which is transfered into cost of their products. I wouldnt mind if this innovation will be working and basic customers would have a benefits from that. But as i said above Samsung engiuneers and researchers works and thinks only on theioretical basis. In real live 99% of their research could be used for that 1% which actualy works.

i don't know if this is the best way to do it but it's a good idea. Samsung has to do something new in order to go against the notch. Since they have been making fun of it the whole time. Also, the china phones are doing the new slider... Thank god they have something to retaliate or else they will go extinct.

Your front cameras had alwaayyysss been there since you first bought your smartphone! Since with those thick bezels, since the notches of varying sizes, it's always been there. Unless you bought Vivo Nex or Oppo Find X.
So if you are that fearful, here's what you can do. Either:
1. Throw away your phone right now. Throw. It. Away.
2. Buy Nokia 1100.

Why don't you start a company and innovate on how to get rid of all things interrupting a phone screen from becoming full screen huh? How about that?
Notch - you complain
Motorized camera - you complain
And now small holes - again you complain!
And by the way, hold your judgement ffs until the device is officially and completely announced - by then the tech would've been more developed - there may even be a way to "hide" that hole and "show" it when used by becoming transparent/colourless/shut down and turned on back again.
