It looks so awesome, and so cheap when compared to other sliding camera phones! But I still think the Mi Mix series gets new releases too often. There should be new ones every year, not every half a year. If someone buys it when it's released, there will be only a few months before it starts getting abandoned by Xiaomi.

It has a fingerprint scanner on the back, why bother using silly face unlock? Face unlock is of the most annoying recent features (no benefit and adding cost) apart from notch - which more often that not is caused by nonsense facial recognition.

Technically you only ever need to slide for selfie, which for me means about once a month tops. You can slide to answer a call, but you can also answer on screen like you've always done or through your handsfree/head- or earphones.

That, Samsung and Apple, is how to release a flagship phone at a fraction of what you charge! I cannot wait for the UK Xiaomi store to open, I'll be there with bells on! Well done Xiaomi, take a seat, your work here is done!

So guys really, other than "fixing" the awkward position of the front camera, and giving the phone a new design, what new features does this have compared to Mix 2S to justify paying 150 euros more? (considering you can find 2s for 320 eur now). Rear camera is the same, ram, rom and cpu are the same (we are talking about the base model here). Then there's still the question of what case would you use with this phone? Seems to me that if you're not using the selfie camera a lot, 2S still makes a lot more sense, and you'll save yourself 150 euros. Or am I missing something here?

As for me, I believe that the MICRO SD CARD slot won't slow down the smartphone, as long as u don't move your apps to it, you're fine, loading speeds for apps will still be the same. I put photos and videos in my card, instead of moving apps to it like how some people around me do. Usually I use SanDisk Extreme ones which are fast in my opinion, but previously I've used some slower card, it may be slow, but that didn't affect my smartphone's performance. I mean, if they are there to slow things down, then what about the SIM CARD? Shouldn't it be removed too?

Bring this baby to europe with 855 , gorila 6 and 4000 + battery :D

That forbidden city variant is so tempting. But no, i must await the note10.

You can either buy the 128gb or 256gb version or just transfer your photos wirelessly and without costs to your pc with Midrop(standard on Miui),Transferit,Shareit,Xshare,Xender,....

The headphone jack I don't miss on my Mix 2,it has great battery life(6-8h sot),and I have a adapter to charge and listen at the same time,I never used it btw!

A very exciting smartphone. 10GB RAM is great, if for bragging rights alone, although I fear it may spark the next unnecessary RAM war in the smartphone realm.

Notchless, bezel-less screen is superb. AMOLED is much-appreciated too.

The camera game looks promising although it doesn't seem revolutionary. It is interesting that they are bragging about being better than Huawei Excellent Night Mode. If their hand-held long exposure shots live up to that claim, that would be awesome. 960 fps slow-mo is great too. The 2MP depth sensor in the front isn't of much practical use and we all know it's just there for the numbers game.

The increase of the battery to 4000 mAh is good, although it isn't as high as the 4400 mAh of the original Mi Mix.

However, the omission of the microSD card slot and the ever-versatile 3.5 mm headphone jack is a huge deal-breaker.

                                      Not a durable phone.

Kkemo, 25 Oct 2018Without battery? :)The specs page lists 4000 mAh. I wouldn't expect any less.

                                        Will get confirmed shortly.
