Anonymous, 27 Oct 2018Because you cannot be bothered to upgrade yourself? Oh boi.... moreyes, even my mi a2 is a much better deal than my oneplus 6 which costs three times more. i guess op is not what it used to be anymore. even midrange phones are of better value. the same goes to other flagships to op but i never really considered them since they arent in my price range anyway. i dont get why people would complain about something like a galaxy s9 is wayyy to overpriced when at the beginning, s9 was never really in people’s budget range cause they already know that its gonna cost a lot.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2018I want OP6T mostly because of Android 9 out of box.Because you cannot be bothered to upgrade yourself? Oh boi.

Point is that they released a phone that is nearly identical to the last one. OP went from flagship killer to "moneygrab". Xiaomi phomes are/were the real flagship killers anyway (for years now) but it is sad to see OP falling so low all the same.

i am still not convinced that the oneplus 6t is enough of an upgrade over the 6. considering that the 6 isnt wayyy better than mi a2, i cant justify its price. the mi a2 is worth every penny for me but not the oneplus. i shouldve bought an honor play and saved some cash instead. i really regret buying this phone. no more oneplus for me again. sticking with xiaomi or will probably get an android one device which should be a much better choice than the 6. i dont believe in the never settle branding anymore.

            Why not 25,5 x 9 ?
This is shame in which direction devices are going... less and less useful parameters, instead we are getting no 3,5" headphone jack, no wireless charging, horrible not optimal aspect ratio like 19 x 9 and now even 19,5 x 9, no microSD...

suarez92, 26 Oct 2018Camera probably same as on OP6, so I don't see a reason for... moreWell if you have a 6 month old phone, i dont understand why you would even be interested in upgrading??

I still have the Oneplus 2 so I'm looking into upgrading, and whether i get the 6 or 6T, it will be an upgrade, but the value for my money is important to me, so i either get the 6 with the headphone jack, or i get the 6T with the much needed better selfie camera and much smaller notch...

Camera probably same as on OP6, so I don't see a reason for upgrade. Battery slightly better, same RAM, same ROM, same chipset, same processor, slower indisplay fps, no 3,5mm headphone jack, so im going to stay with OnePlus 6 for a bit longer.

I don't know why people are so picky.
everyone wants a phone with lastest processor, 10gb/512gb, quadruple camera 40/40/20/20 MP, 5000 battery, 99% SBR, unlock with a presence sensor, feeds your dog, drives your car and all this for 150 bucks.
c'mon guys, each smartphone is different from each other, there is no need to curse OnePlus for its choices.

                    Total disappointment.
About camera. We were earlier expecting triple camera setup, but alas! Again dual camera setup. Then expecting better camera - primary camera like Samsung Galaxy S9 or Google Pixel 2. And second one telephoto with double or triple optical zoom. But same camera setup like op6, it totally disappoints us.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2018"never settle"OnePlus first got rid of the microSD slot.
                      Then the user accessible battery.
                      Briefly with the NFC function.
Next the flush camera (now Apple-style hump).
Then they got rid of the optimal 16:9 aspect ratio.
Followed by removing the scratch-resistant 7000-series Matte Aluminium... for a slippery, fragile, and smudge-magnet glass rear.
Then they made sure to leave out wireless charging just to pour salt on the wound.
Later they removed upgrades to the USB-port (its outdated 2.0, not 3.2)
Followed by removing a portion of the screen to add a notch to keep up with the joneses.
                      Now they're removing the 3.5mm aux/headset jack.
...what's next, they will remove the ability to unlock the bootloader and r00t the device?

Oh, and people should remember that whilst doing this they've steadily been increasing the price. After another year, its going to the point where their flagship is going to cost double (x2 or +100%) in price than what they originally asked for back in early 2014.

                      ....."Never Settle"

r33fd, 26 Oct 2018So this phone is essentially: OnePlus 6 + a little battery... moreNo big notch, 1.7/f front camera, bigger battery, finger sensor on front. The only downside is the 3.5mm.

If thats a deal breaker for you, then dont get the phone. But for the people that its not, then the 6T is much better compared to the 6.

You guys yammering about the camera are hilarious. I've seen multiple picture comparisons with Note 9, iPhone XS and Pixel 3 where the photos are absolutely in the same league and sometimes superior. The GCam port makes it even better, plus the audio on recordings is waaaaaay better than Pixel 3. I get that people wanna keep hyping up Xiaomi Mi Mix, Mi 8, Mi whatever....but those phones are ad-subsidized (hi, Settings menu!) and laden with - blech - MIUI. It takes more than slapping on Nova Launcher to get that dreck out of your way for daily usage.

big tech youtubers probably have it already... when the phone launches, they’ll try to hype up the 6t but we already know its just a more expensive 6. im was a big oneplus fan and i thought they will never settle, but they just settle for the same design that we see in other phones, a camera that never actually lives up to the hype, fast software but i dont really see it as a big advantage over my xiaomi mi a2, big ram and storage but other companies already have caught up, dash charging thats very convenient but is not really needed because i always carry a powerbank and i charge my phones overnight, display that is supposed to be super good but its just not so far ahead the a2’s display, and other things that never actually lives up to that never settle motto. i wasted a lot of money on the oneplus 6, hoping thats its gonna be beyond expectations but i should have bought another mi a2 instead.
