Statcounter however, was not blocked. They show Huawei as the third largest behind Samsung and Apple in the UK as of September 2018. Not only that, from October 2017 (3.08%) to September 2018 (5.83%) they close to doubled their market share.

Sony, Motorola, HTC comes in with much smaller market share.

Huawei have shown the quality and is unknown name from Asian region. Oneplus is known too and thats for sure from China. So as Xiaomi that offers a lot for a buck. For daily surfers they all be happy under 150 euro 4/64GB redmi note 5 AI. A lot better then some 200 euro P10 lite.

Xiaomi should do well in the UK as long as they keep their pricing sensible but really need to start adding NFC to their phones as standard - consumers here will expect it

Nearly every operator sells them. 3, EE, o2, Vodafone, Virgin, Giffgaff, Carphone Warehouse, Tesco, BT, Sky(and more). They ALL stock and sell Huawei/Honor devices. And they all sell well, especially the low/midrange devices.
Xiaomi will do just as well once people start knowing the name.

That part of Huawei is a lie. They're barely selling 1% of smartphones in this part of the world. They're rarely offered by operators so buyers will have to buy them from places like eBay and Amazon, which isn't exactly a place you want to buy an expensive and fairly high failure rate device like a smartphone. :)

                                        Slide mechanism means limited lifespan.
Wire will tear eventually. Happens to all slide keyboard devices of the past.
Like bending a credit card from one side then the other, at the end it will tear
