The problem is data consumption. Unless its unlimited data plan.. i do not think is wise to use mobile network for streaming.

Along with the controller they should bring games as well and controller covering parts of screen can be a issue for some games

The controller should be shaped like the trigger of a rifle; Not wide, Long as the phone's width, and a large depth to grip it.
This would keep the controller small, yet comfortable. You can only fit the joystick at the front now though, no action buttons, and no shoulder buttons.
But it's completely fine (even better), if you now have 1 joystick per thumb (ie 2 Total) and 4 rear action triggers per each finger (ie 8 Total). That's enough combinations to remap most (+97%) games from consoles. Just not quite enough for complex strategy games from the PC but noone wants that on mobile anyways.

The controllers should hug the back more than the front as most of the capable smartphones nowadays were almost bezel-less. That is, if they want to attract more of the customers not just the "gaming-centered" smartphones.

Would prefer they invest in gaming tablet.. that uses 8 gen core m processors with thunderbolt 3.
7 ~ 8 inches with LTE. Improve their Windows 10 Gaming Mode. Install Steam and profit!
Mobile games are too weak to even invest in a modular controller. If you port games to mobile.. you still have to make sure to dumb it down to touch controls..
