The only way they can survive is by floating market with 200, 300, 400, 600, 800 USD phone and increase after sales numbers and quality.
We know 200-400 USD phone sold more than 600-1000 USD. So dont go all out focus on flagship tier sales.

Sony's mobile division probably won't survive till 2020. The new Sony CEO already said he's going to shift away from gadgets and devices.
Perhaps Sony's tremendous success in its other businesses has made it complacent when it comes to smartphones. Already it has scaled down the mobile business a lot over the past couple of years. There's nothing much remaining to scale down.

So I wouldn't buy a gaming phone when all the phones are for gaming.
All those phones, you have mentioned have SD845 same like the many phones.
Also, the Razor is developing more and not staying a gaming phone segment like the laptop they designed for and you can put the phone in it so it becomes a mouse pad and a stereo from their laptop, so it's evolving into a technological device rather than being a gaming phone segment.
For me the gaming deserve big display to enjoy it so PlayStation, Xbox, All in One PCs and Laptops are welcome even the All in one PCs and the Laptops are curved :)

Because no company needs a gaming phone... moreTrue, gaming phones aren't essential but it seems to be a new starting trend with the release of the xiaomi black shark 2, asus rog and the razer phone 2. The asus Rog is pretty cool with its gaming peripherals, pricey though.

For me I buy samsung s phones because they provide phones which are a balance blend of performance, feature rich, high end design, provide the best amoled screens and reliable/trustworthy reputation.
Sure there not perfect but which phone or OEM is. You can support your own company without having to put down others

Yes it is good, yes it does look amazing, yes it can burn in, yes image quality will drop significantly with time, yes you do need get out of your way to babysit it in order not to burn in before time... and yes at this price point all that hassle is in my opinion unacceptable.

Check my profil... moreLatest generations of Tv's in all the most important showrooms in my city I've tested and where Samsung and Lg's oled are simply obsolete. Sony are now with much improved imagine coding and perfect Oled clarity that make.believe.bravia is again in top. Simply Sony is back with perfect devices. Test Sony's A class models and then talk.

They always pose with their phones looking for glamour and sexy-ness, otherwise they are not satisfied with their performance and the money spent. For example XA1 in Oreo have a camera settings that could bring quality same as S8. XA2 ultra is better in low light shots than S9+ and examples continue. More than that many Samsung users are with Samsung just because of marketing on TV or because or their friends social status, but to know something about android and camera performance in a smartphone it's simply not there. So Samsung fans are not up to date as Sony ones. If you use a Sony then it's a must to have the know-how about a smart device.
