I get that Apple is a company that deserves some criticism for it's claims and pricing, but in the end, their stuff still sells. So why wouldn't they charge this much? Not to mention, iOS is great. It's stable, smooth, and easy to use.

Typical Apple, they could've allowed the previous pencil to work just fine on the new iPads by throwing in the box or being typical Apple charge 29$ for USB-C to Lightening adapter and Voila.
The old iPads will miss on the new pencil but damn Apple made it so hard when in reality easy to solve.

Uh... I recall the Apple Pencil 1 being able to be charged with the wall socket. It comes with a dongle where you can connect it with the same lightning charger that you use to charge phones.

The old apple pencil pairs with the ipad by plugging it in the lightning port.
So everyone watching the keynote knew this from the beginning. At least everyone interested in buying the apple pencil knows this cos they know how the old one was pairing with the ipad. Like omg you can't use lightning peripherals on a device that doesn't have a lightning port. No sht Sherlock.
You are just incredibly jealous of this ipad. Comments about iOS being locked, apple being expensive, microSD cards, every geek's cheapo laptop with high specs being better, surface being better pending. Just give credit where credit's due for once. You are all being very funny by how bitter you become after each Apple release.
This is the best tablet money can buy end of story.

This is a company which slightly increased the camera lens area on the Xs from the X size, with the phone dimensions being exactly the same otherwise. And this just so that customers couldn't use X cases on Xs. Though sheeps still gonna say that's iNnovation.
Gawd, this Pencil rip off's gonna rank real high among all the hundreds of rip offs that Apple made.

The price of the pen was high and now they charge even higher and won't let you use your previous pen.
They also didn't decrease the price of last year's iPad pro and keep the same price as if it's announced this year.
That's not a good way of marketing and will decrease the customer satisfaction I think.

130 USD for a pencil which the manufactering process and materials used don't go over 20 USD.
