[deleted post]This will not register much in America. Huawei is not a major seller and this will affect almost no one. The Samsung phones were literally catching fire frequently. Quit your BS and stop acting like America was the only one banning those fire traps. Get some perspective and get a life.

All manufacturers make faulty units. However, Apple's take on those matters is usually original and unprecedented.

huawei always inspired by apple... from design, marketing and even reasoning.. but as stated , this issue affected with lg made display.. however, i'm surprised that those display pass huawei qc check.. in this case, huawei should take responsibility and at least change the display that are affected.

Sounds almost EXACTLY like the problem Oppo had with the OnePlus One. It suffered the "yellow" tint/stain problem due to their screen supplier rushing the screens before the glue cured. Some, could be fixed by exposure to UV and or sunlight (that's what fixed mine).
Originally, Oppo said it was because they set the screen color to a more "warm" (yellow) color, but they backtracked when several sites showed it wasn't the entire screen that had the problem.
I'm guessing once Huawei gets outted, they will say the same thing.

I was so excited about the Mate 20 Pro, it looks amazing and I was honestly considering buying it over a Note 9 or S9+ in December when my contract is over. But after seeing this I'm honestly not even considering it as an option anymore. How will I know if I get the LG display? And what if they don't acknowledge it and don't replace it? This is just sad. Now I'm debating about getting an S9+ or waiting for S10...

Huaweitzer, 02 Nov 2018I'm glad I got Honor Note 10 over Huawei Mate 10. No curves... moreWell it’s technically under Huawei as its a Sister brand . I will never pay to get any Chinese phone , since the way they response pretty much says a lot about the brand .

Werent all displays on Mate 20 Pro manufactured by BOE? I didnt see anywhere an info on LG ones. And btw, i really dont understand why LG didnt fix their problem on V30. I have it and i can clearly see that problem can be fixed with some updates. When i move dark gray and black pictures i can see that it doesnt affect the part of the screen but it rather moves, i cant quite explain what i want to say... But my conclusion after testing it a few times is that display has problems, but they should be able to be fixed by an update!

I was so tempted to get this phone , Great design , great specs but when I tried out the demo, the display wasn’t as great as the ones I seen in Samsung flagship . And now it seems Huawei do not want to acknowledge the display issues , am gonna get the note 9 instead.

I'm glad I got Honor Note 10 over Huawei Mate 10. No curves on edges, just rounded corners. The display is INSANE and BIG. And it doesn't have these problems :))

It's about time to ditch curved edges and rounded corners. They serve no purpose and lead to various issues. Currently iPhone 8 Plus is one of the last few high end phones with flat screen and no rounded corners. I'll stick to it till manufacturers realize that usability have priority over fancy design.

Whackcar, 02 Nov 2018As usual, Huawei haters are out in full force. They must've... moreIn all honesty, everybody blows up whenever something like this happens because the phone is quite top of the line and expensive. Still though, to start a gate because of it... It's a problem that can be fixed with updates so I don't know why people are going crazy
