It's priced very high for its hardware, no wonder why it doesn't sell well.
Let's be honest here, only the fashion victims and mediocre smartphone users who doesn't know much about smartphones buy iPhones lately, and this is not the greatest from Apple. Of course it would flop.

I am so bored with the smartphone industry myself. The problem for me is that the Hardware is not the culprit. But the OS the phone uses. Apple has not done a single thing to the UI of their phones since the launch of iPhone in 2007. Android was incredible exciting to follow in terms of development, and iOS was fun to Jailbreak. All that is gone.
The smartphone market needs a kick up the behind when it comes to OS systems. The only exciting part recently for me is UD Fingerprint sensors on Mate 20 Pro.
Apple? What a snoozefest of a company..They have not innovated anything for years, just added something that is already there and makes it better.. But for the prices they charge, they can swim in their money for all i care, but not one cent is from my wallet.

Apple had created the premium line and had the prices up a lot with the X and pad pro. so far most followers can keep up the spending

I think if the price of this was 590$ than it would have sold better but Apple doesn't know how to count the money beyond 700 bucks so there you go .

...Well, i wouldn't get it for that very cheap price if it wasn't an opportunity... actually, this is a European variant H8416 (Polish market)... The reason I bought for that cheap price is because the man whom i bought from was on urge for cash to pay some expenses..but let me tell you something.... in here, my country (Tunisia) the maximum selling price i saw so far is around $750 (2000TND) and also I saw another which is far cheaper, in around $560 (1550TND - Tunisian Dinar), and the one I bought was 1250TND which is around $460... so here is the exchange rate to understand more.... $1 = 2.8TND(Tunisian Dinar)... and in here people are mostly interested in Samsung.. they do not know the value of Sony... I'm an exception with some other Sony fans... this is why i love these opportunities because I never cared about either samsung or Apple..

No surprise at all with this, for the same price (or less) as the XR you can get yourself the standard X with a higher storage, so what's the point?

Price it sensibly Apple. This is not much away from exorbitant price of Xs and Xs Max which itself are not doing that good. Trouble is, since average selling price has increased by them smartly, I doubt they are looking at number of devices shipped. It's more like how much profit they make with least devices sold.
