          Again, the weak GPU gets compensated by the CPU's power, overall allowing it to score more than SNAPDRAGON 820 smartphones in AnTuTu (most probably)

                      Nonetheless, it's incredible that such level of performance is coming to the mid range category, which indicates that Qualcomm might be up with something even better than Cortex A76 cores for their flagship SD8150.

                          well im still with my 14nm sd 820 and I don't feel the need of a change not even sd 845 makes me think different I need a real game changer as for now everything is smooth and fast and besides we are still using 2k screen ... I thibk that a good time to upgrade is when devices are 4k ready ... not that im waiting for a 4k screen but enough muscle to push pixels in fact

                            Meanwhile some major phone still lauch with a 18 mounth old SOC and some OEM achieve to make phone at the same price with the "flagship" soc.
                            Qualcomm have no control of their market and I think could make something way more powerful if they don't aim for a mass high end market.

                              I just did the math. It seems that A76 (at least in this QC form) is only 50% faster clock per clock when compared to A73/A72. Which is lot slower than initial projections siting at around 66%.

                                Andy, 06 Nov 2018So where exactly does this chip place in Qualcomm's lineup?It places as the real spiritual successor of S650 & a worthy one. It's intended to become the successor of S636 by adoption and marke position but we will have to wait & see about that. Finally one sole reason QC rushed it is because they want to retake buck some midrange space lost by MTK Helio series (P60 and it's successors).
