Some RAM cleaners have option to clean RAM automatically, when phone is not in use. But, apps (services) will start again, load from internal memory and consume CPU cycles. That is going to interrupt device sleep, and drain battery.

Cached data is not junk. It is actually non important data, that is used to speed up other apps. It temporary stores data from internet, that will speed up website/photo loading and save your internet data. It also stores gallery thumbanails, converted data... It is speeding up your device, apps, internet. Cache will consume storage, but it will increase battery life and performance significantly.

Keep in mind that these "cleaner apps" already consume RAM, CPU, battery and storage, when you install them.

A lot of people use RAM/cache cleaner apps, that are killing battery and performance. These "boosters" are useless. A lot of them wouldn't know, if they have malware. They will then blame Android for any issue, they don't know how to fix. That is why iOS is better for them.

            I still like my current Android OS, so I don't have these problems :
            1) I still use Nougat (Resurrection Remix ROM), and not having latest version isn't any problem for me.
            2) iOS can also have unoptimised apps. That is app publisher's problem, they should optimise their app.
            4) If ads are annoying, you can always patch application to remove them. You can do that without root access.

            Android will be good if you know how to use it.
