AnonD-800802, 08 Nov 2018Lol Apple will copy it and make it a million times better. ... moreYou mean android copy Lol.

I know one thing is for sure, to get the display fixed is going to be very, very expensive. Expect to pay in the thousands or nearly how much you bought it for.

Bad enough for the iPhone X/XS in that slab design with fragile glass on both sides. Replacing a foldable display is no easy task and won't be inexpensive since they won't be that common in the near future.

I can't wait to see LG's foldables and even Huawei's. Google has embraced it already. I want to see a Pixel foldable too. The One UI could be better on a Pixel since Google knows its software. Best optimizations for Android.

We know that's NOT the final design. If it was, it's quite thick when closed and too much bezel. Won't feel comfortable in your pocket either with the edges. I expect the earlier products to be ugly and just plain weird for most folks who have got used to the same stale slab/slate design for the last 10 years.

Think Apple Watch. It didn't really take off until Series 2 even though Series 1 is the best-seller. The earlier ones were so laggy and expensive. Or think about the first Galaxy Note edge or even first iPhone which also had problems early on. The first couple generations will always have problems.

It's going to take time some time for this concept to be refined. The concept is great but the execution to do this is very, very difficult to do. Hence, why it took so long since we've seen flexible displays since CES 2011. We are still in beta mode. I don't expect a refined product until 2022.

I can imagine even Nintendo using a foldable display to replace their 3DS/2DS. This is a concept great for smartphone/tablet hybrids and wearables.

AnonD-800802, 08 Nov 2018Lol Apple will copy it and make it a million times better. ... moreMotorola Aterix was the first android phone to implement fingerprint scanner and Samsung galaxy S2 is the first phone to implement face unlock but it wasn't popular at that time. The same has been copied by Apple in Iphone 5s (fingerprint) and Iphone 10 (face ID). You can check it.

I still don't mind the 90's form factor of the late Nokia 9210i Communicator and it's series.

I'm not into this foldable display thing right now. I love my Samsung Galaxy phone and my Apple iPad Pro 10.5.

how to install screen protector? :D

Lots of questions obviously, though Samsung has made a good innovation. We need to see the display size, resolution (in all the three forms), camera, processor, memory, stylus options, battery, its software (UI), security options, overall size, weight etc...main innovation is to make all these work in an integrated yet, provides seamless user experience from earlier form factor...hope they think through many existing and new use cases and design it properly.
