dude111, 09 Nov 2018They havent been listed again in 3DMARK, so no, they havent... moreread on ulbenchmark statement 1st lol... dont just make assumption.
ulbenchmark will reinstate huawei kirin 970 delisted devices after all the device get emui 9 with performance mode option.
since emui 9 stll on its way to all kirin 970 user, so, the still delisted. and ulbenchmark dont call huawei cheat, but broke the rules of having diff modes in certain apps like benchmarks n gaming, but not other app like browser, fb n etc.
if cheating, then there will no be any performance mode.
performance mode is available in games suite, only for selected app, if u decide to turn it on. its against ulbenchmark rules.

because u don't understand what is ai in computing, then u call them bluffing using ai term.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2018Agree with you. In Kirin 970 Huawey used Mali G72 mp12 and ... moreu need to understand micro arch between mali g72 and mali g76.
mali g76 is double its lane n path per core, compare to g72. basically for g72 to match mali g76 mp 10, u need malig72 mp20 atleast for same computation speed.
thats why new exynos 9820 using mali g76 mp12, where as 9810 using g72 mp18, cuz g76 mp12 is more or less malig72 mp24.
by having less core(but better performing core), u can achieve efficiency.
thats why mali g76 max cores is mp20, while g71 and g72 max mp 32.

LG Superfan, 12 Nov 2018Yes thats the problem they should use maximum coresAgree with you. In Kirin 970 Huawey used Mali G72 mp12 and in Kirin 980 they’re using Mali G76 mp10.
My question is. Why didn’t Huawey use mp12 on Mali 76 at least?

We run each GFXBench test 30 times on a loop, measuring the battery level and frame rates for each run through to determine whether our test device experienced any throttling.
The Mate 20 Pro coped well in the older T-Rex benchmark and managed to maintain consistent performance throughout. Our test device fared worse in the more complex Manhattan test, which uses the OpenGL ES 3.1 API. The Mate 20 Pro scored around 10% fewer FPS after 30 benchmark run-throughs, but the device’s throttled performance is equal to the best that the Galaxy S9+ achieves."...
all that on pre- release software...also..

I'll wait for the 2020 Kirin 1000. Should be much faster with a new improved architecture and 5nm technology.

Manu76, 09 Nov 2018Your head if it overheats"The Mate 20 Pro is a comparatively hot device. Surface temperatures average over 31.7 °C when our test device is idling, which then rose to an average of 40.3 ° C when we subjected the device to sustained load. Moreover, the area to the left of the rear-facing cameras reached a toasty 44.5 ° C"
