It's there to signify that this is a high end phone. Metal was used in the past and glass is the new trend if the companies all of a sudden went back to metal then the phone would seem much less premium.

Not worth the space. The focus should be on other things! Like new batteries that lasts long enough for the rest of the hardware. Wireless will never beat wired charging, in speed and quality.

Walter C. Dornez, 11 Nov 2018If memory serves me right, the Super VOOC charger is bundle... moreWell any other would do.
I am tired and bored of regular fast chargers because its takes too long.
I would like to have something faster than basic turbo charger.
Thus SVOOC, VOOC, or Huawei mate 20 pro charger would do and fit to my Moto X4.

stop being a corporate licker. if company A could do it for 700US$, there's no reason to support company B that ditch it and still price it at 700US$.

I am so curious to hear why people now bash flagships that do not have it.
I has much slower speed compared to USB.
It makes phone gets hotter during the recharging.
It needs a cable to be connected to the outlet.
You can't do many things while it is on the base.
There is a Sony powerbank that works with Qi, these chargers should have battery inside enough for 2 or 3 charges so you can take anywhere.

Sounds interesting i am first to comment but in real life usage wiriless charging brings always some kinds of danger.
And of course is a lot slower than a convient way by cable.
By the way anyone know where i can buy SVOOC Charger made by Oppo for its Lamborgini edition phone???
Or at least simillar fast for a Huawei Mate 20 pro???

Calling Rezence's tech "the better alternative that unfairly lost" isn't just non-factual but a huge lie. Samsung amongst others tried their best to help them get their idea to work but it clearly has chronic design flaws that would end up with too many compromises to work. Just ask Apple and their fire-hazard vapour-ware.
Also, should that (those?) other Chinese alternative(s) be mentioned rather than a non-existent Apple product? I mean, those are at least real.
