Analyst lowers prediction of iPhone XR shipments by as much as 30%

The price/features mix is partly to blame alongside alluring alternatives like the Huawei Mate 20 phones.

I don't ever recall seeing mention of such methods wrt Android.

It may be "harder" for Google to track you, but you're absolutely wrong to think that Apple is a champion of privacy for any reason other than marketing. Read up on PRISM and the fact that you have ZERO way of knowing what Apple does with your data since iOS is completely closed sourced. To claim otherwise is simply lying to others and yourself.

It's not a binary situation - both OS have significant issues with privacy and security. Thinking that by using iphone you're safe is naivete at its height.

                      >>Now there's no way for google to track me, there's no way someone gets access to my data without me allowing it, no airport TSA being able to get into my phone, no way for anyone to access my data.

Though it is more secure than Android, it isn’t foolproof, as we get to see regular hacks now and then. And that pin lock became a victim of hacks quite often. Go google it to know yourself. You say Google milks money out of people’s info and we say Apple milks its fanboys by providing poor hardware for exhorbitant prices. A 324 ppi screen(not even FHD), an underperforming single camera, a heavy phone for 750$? Only Apple fanboys can justify this and hence giving license to Apple to increasing its prices to crazy levels. You want better screen? You have to pay 1000 bucks for that. You want fast charger? Pay another 40-100$. You want wireless charging? No we dont have any now but you may buy third party charger for another 100$. You want more storage? Again you have to shell more either buying additional iCloud storage or buying a new phone altogether. See, where Apple is milking your money? Yeah, Android is not a competition to iPhone. Android gives lot better options to comsumers even in the premium segment, where iPhone XR is struggling. Remove those countries where one buys a phone through carrier subsidies and you can learn how great Apple is doing.
